Where did January & February go? Time is FLYING!!!!! Here in NM, it is already shorts weather many afternoons. :scared1:

I should be able to run April's challenge, but may not be able to do May. I have a scoring project beginning 4/18, and it runs til 5/20. I have also tentatively booked a cruise for 5/20, but may or may not go as it is, in part, dependent on DS21 getting time off his internship. Plan is to take DS21, his girlfriend, DD19 and her fiance along. But, if DS21 can't go, it all changes, as we need 2 girls & 2 guys to justify 2 additional rooms. Will let you know. And, DS21 GRADUATES in May!:banana:

I'm getting better on the exercise - depending on the stupid NM winds - but food is still a struggle. And I see I am not alone in that. But, as long as we move, it helps!!

As usual commit to as few or as many minutes of exercise as you wish to challenge yourself to do. Please post here something like "I'm at 21/400" or just 310/1000. That way I don't have to search to add up all your numbers.

10% - Getting Started!
25% - On your way!
50% - Half-way there!
75% - You CAN do it!
90% - Just a little bit more!
100% - You DID it!
Over the top!

DisFam95 - 0/1080
goldcupmom - 3661/3500
lisah071 - 0/500
perfectmatch300 - 2150/1622
tiki23 - 1140/1200
tink2020 - 715/1200

Hi Julie! :wave2: I'm in for 500 -- really need to do more as I start training for my half in May but I'm setting myself up for success here with a lower number. :thumbsup2 Thanks for running these challenges! :flower3:

Hi Julie!

We're a long ways from shorts weather up here... :cold: ... but I'm in for 1,200!

Thanks - Alice

Hello! Can I join you ladies? I just posted a similar challenge, but after being away from the DIS for literally months, I didn't realize there was already a group dedicated to nothing more than just getting/staying/being ACTIVE. My goal was a bit different (# of workouts in x days), but I like yours a lot, so I added up my scheduled workouts. :)

I'm in for 1200. So far I'm at 60/1200. I'll introduce myself more next time I'm on, but we're running out the door!

Another month here already!!! Crazy.

There are 4.5 weeks in March and my goal is at least 4xweek - I'm real and know thinsg come up and I miss something. SO I'm setting my goal is 1080.

Off to a good start so far - let's hope we can all keep it up!

Yes I have a giant box of swim suits that just arrived from Lands End - they make great larger bust swim suits. I buy 2 sizes of everything I like and then return it all at Sears! Told hubby not to freak at the MONDO charge on the cc. I just need to make my choice and return them in a couple of weeks.

They always sell out of them early so you have to order now. 2 that I need are already on backorder until the end of May! Hopefully the smaller size will fit by then :thumbsup2

195/1200 after a Glee Dance workout (that was surprisingly effective! :rotfl: ) and a spinning/weights intervals class.

ETA: Am I a thread killer, or is this typical?

375/1200 after two Zumba classes (Saturday and this morning), and a Pilates class

I'm in for 1600 min this month.

So far I am at 380/1600 min. Not a bad start, but I will need to keep moving to reach goal. We have family coming in later this month so hopefully I won't let that derail me.

Welcome, tink2020! Glad to have you join us! :welcome:

DisFam95, I like the way you shop for swimsuits! I may have to try that if I don't find anything I like around here. We have already had some swimsuit weather around here in FL! :beach:

Julie, as always, thanks for being here to run this challenge.! It really goes a long way in keeping me accountable! :flower1:

Off to update! It is official that I won't be able to run April or May. I will be back to run June.

I'm at 1140/1600!

It is awfully quiet around here. Hope that means everyone is off exercising. Oh, wait, just remembered that I'm usually one who doesn't show up to post very often, but I do depend on knowing this thread is here to keep me motivated! I'm sure things will pick up here soon.

Dang you're burning up calories!!! Impressive minutes for 10 days - you're almost done :goodvibes

I got another box of swimsuits the other day :lmao: Now I have to narrow things down. At least the larger size (my old size) is too big :cool1: I bought 2 of everything :rotfl2:

Keep moving everyone!

Still haven't exercised yet, so I think I'll will retract my goal for March!

Ugh, just not getting in enough workout time so far :snail: though today I got in an hour of spin and then an hour of boot camp! :faint:

Wow! It really is quiet around here! And I thought I was the only one insanely, stupidly busy!

Off to update! Get movin' y'all! It will give you more energy for the insanity!

I've done nothing significant since I posted on the 10th :sad2: I had a sinus thing, then DH has had high fevers and been in bed for 3 days where the treadmill is (just found out it was strep). It's spring break for us so I've had the kids home and going out a lot with them. We walked the zoo and museum and other places. Hope to get back on track w/ my workouts this weekend when DH is home.

Well goodness, I'm behind! After a long week (some illness, but mostly saying goodbye to our precious pup on Wednesday! :sad1:) I finally made it back to the center for the first time in entirely too long! An hour today plus 30 minutes (total ) while traveling last week puts me at 475/1200. Better step it up!

I hit a bit of a wall after that good start. Got a little carried away with what I'm now able to do & ended up so tired I couldn't do anything for a couple of days. :earseek: I'm back on track now & am hoping for a strong finish this month. I know I've said this before, but I'll say it again because I need to. If I could only get the eating under control too, I'd have no problem controlling my weight.

Tink2020, sorry to hear about your pup. I know from experience how tough those goodbyes can be.

Hope everyone who has been sick is now feeling better.

I am now at 1870/1600 for March

Wow, so much going on with my DD's senior year - I just can't get to get into a good groove. :guilty: I am maintaining my weight though and have actually hit a couple of exercise goals, so I guess that's good.

Last year I used to have "Fat Fridays" and go to my fave burger joint for lunch. Now I'm starting "Super Saturdays" with the spin and the strength class! :woohoo:

3/14 80 boot camp + cardio
3/17 45 cardio
3/19 150 spin + strength training class :faint:
3/21 70 boot camp + cardio
3/22 50 cardio
3/23 60 cardio
3/24 15 cardio
3/26 150 spin + strength training class

60 minutes left to go to hit my goal! :yay:

Thanks... it really was tough, much moreso than I thought. And still out of nowhere it hits me sometimes and I miss her. She was my first baby :) Thankfully the girls are doing pretty well without her (though they have their moments, too), so that's really helpful.

Congrats to you guys, and anyone else so close to (or exceeding) their goal! I've certainly not done what I intended this month... but I guess it's better than nothing. Here's to the last few days of March, and a better start in April! :)

3 hours last week = 655/1200

60 minutes today. Still hoping to squeeze something in tomorrow but it's a pretty busy day. Apparently I was wise not to set my goal as high as I planned, considering I couldn't even reach my modified goal! ;) Bring on April! :goodvibes

715/1200

Good work, all of you! I retracted my goal for March, and you know what - I have not exercised one single day since I returned from vacation on March 9th! No goal = no motivation to try. You can be sure I WILL set a goal for the 3 weeks I will be home in April!
