:confused3 Ok I am appealing to my fellow Canadian DISers to get some help planning our March Break Vacation. This past summer I planned a Magical Trip:wizard: to WDW for our friends and us and now we will be cruising DCL with this same group of friends. So now I feel I must plan something equally wonderful and need some ideas.

We are flying into MCO on March 9 (arriving around 7pm) and are cruising on the Wonder from March 11- 15th and will fly back out around noon of the
16th. I am not sure where to stay for those nights we are not cruising. First thought was WDW but since we are going back this Aug we thought it was not enough time.

What I gather that everyone wants for the noncruise portion of the trip is to do a beach day and an outlet shopping day. So I was thinking of staying in or around Cocoa Beach for the first two days but don't know of a good hotel (read not too expensive pref. around $150 a night) on or close to the beach (with a nice pool as we have kids ages 7, 8, 10, 15 &16) and then on the last day driving back to Orlando to do some outlet shopping after the cruise and staying close to the airport the last night.

Another scenario is to stay in Orlando and shop (though it may be a pain to lug purchases on the cruise) for the first bit and then after the cruise spend the last night at Disney's Vero Beach Resort (renting points since it would be a Thurs night and would not require many points--Vero is not an option for the 1st part since it requires an outrageous amount of points to rent for a Fri or Sat night). The only problem is that there would not be much time to really enjoy the resort (it is beautiful, we stayed there last year for two nights) and then the next day we'd have to rush back to the airport to make it for the noon flight (Vero is about 2hrs from MCO).
Any help or ideas would be GREATLY appreciated as I am running out of time.:hourglass

Why not stay at the port, say the RonJon's resort and then head back to Orlando to do the shopping portion of the trip.

There is also the Radisson at the Port.

You may also want to ask about places at the port on the Cruise Boards.

Shirley can certainly help you with that!
