March airfare question?

I noticed there is a fare sale from Pgh. to Fla. up until mid Feb. We would like to go in mid March. When is a good time to get tickets for this timeframe. Right now fares are around $500.

Keep checking airfare prices several times a week or even daily. When the fare goes down to a price that you are comfortable with grab it. Another feature that helps with this is fare watcher on Travelocity. When the price decreased on the routes of your choice Travelocity will send you a email notification informing you that the rate has gone down. Since March is spring break and a high period of travel it may be difficult for you to find a really good price. A friend of mine is going on a cruise and just purchased airfare for March 2004 and paid $500 from Indy to Orlando because he wanted certain times and non-stop. The price had previously been $700 so when it went down he jumped on it.
