I'm so excited!!!!!!! Finally...some FE participants! My daughter (20) and her boyfriend (21) are going with us...and if no one joined...they said we could just exchange gifts with each other! :lmao: I'm glad we don't have to do that!

:thumbsup2 TJ

My family is booked for this cruise as well. We have been on a few Disney cruises before but never on the newer ship so Im excited to check it out! It is also my daughters 12th birthday and it is going to be a total surprise that we are going. We are not going to tell the kids until we arrive at the port and they see the ship =)

Awesome!!!! I wish I could keep my mouth shut and surprise my kids (who are 20 and 16 now)...but I can't! Ever! Tried it and spilled the beans...every time.:rolleyes1 You'll LOVE the DREAM. We've been on all but the Magic now and honestly...it doesn't matter to me. It's Disney...I'll take ANY of the ships!:cheer2:

I don't know how I kept missing this thread! My family is booked on the March 9th cruise. Cannot wait! Absolutely love the Dream and miss her every day. Still debating on doing FE. (Not because I don't love it but because I always forget everything, lol) Glad to see some others around now! =)

What's the deadline to signup for the FE?

End of the year...so 12/31/13. That way it gives everyone plenty of time to buy what they need. Also helps those who personalize the gifts get what they need done. :goodvibes

This thread took forever to get up and I was shocked that there wasn't one already started when we were under a year to go at that point...but we're slowly but surely gaining members!

Hi, We are the Farnsworth Family from Arizona. We will be on the March 9th cruise. This is not our first cruise but it is with DCL. We are so excited! I have some questions for you if you don't mind. We would love to particpate in the FE but I am worried about getting everything home as there are so many luggage restrictions these days. Any thoughts?
There will be four of us. Myself, my husband, and two kids. 9 year old boy and 19 year old girl. This is my first time on this site it will be nice to get to know some of the other families:)

Hi Fenton Family, We are the Farnsworth Family from Arizona. We will also be on the March 9th cruise! I noticed that you have a 9 year old boy. We have an 8 year old son. He was so excited to hear that there will be at least one other boy on the cruise his age. He was worried he wouldn't have anyone to play with. LOL! We would like to participate in the FE but I am worried about getting everything home.

We are in Queen Creek. Do have kids? We will be going to Universal studios for a few days before the cruise. Still working on transportation, Air and ground once we get there. We are very excited! Looking forward to meeting you as well:)

Welcome! So glad you'll be joining us. My daughter and her boyfriend will be with us. They're just a year older than your daughter. :-)

as for the FE...we usually carry one bag on the plane filled with gifts and then use it to bring any gifts home. It's always fit! We make it fit! Haha

We have an 8 y/o daughter. We're staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge for 3 days after the cruise. We make our own flight arrangements and then pay for the Disney transport. I literally put my keys away and don't worry about driving for the week. This means we purchase the dining plan and use the monorail and bus system during our stay at the parks. The coach picks us up on our departure day and except for clearing customs coming off the ship your bags are taken care for you the whole time. It is truly an awesome feature...talk about stress free. Your family will love DCL, we never even consider any other cruise lines. Disney does it top notch and the Dream is beautiful.

That sounds like fun! I wish we were able to use the Disney transport but from what I hear it does not come to Universal studios. I think we will rent a car and drive to the ship ourselves then take the disney transport to the airport after the cruise. Still working on the details. Our little guy will be happy when I tell him I met another family with a child his age. Have you done the FE before? I am thinking about it. Any thoughts?
