March 9, 2006 - Three Day Wonder

Looks like we're going to have this ship all to ourselves. Houzer :paw:

We're officially a group of (at least) six right now. Our friends talked their dad and his wife into going. We're still working on about a half-dozen more. Whoo!!

OK I am sorry to say this but I am tired of bumping this post...is there no one else going on this cruise??
Houzer :paw:

We are considering going on this cruise :)

It would be myself, DH, 2 DS ages 14 and 12

Anyone with kids those ages?

Deb

Welcome Diaryou.

There is myself, dh, dd13 and ds7 along with two other families going on this cruise. One of the families going with us has a 14 year old son as well. We are all staying at the POFQ for the first 4 nights before the cruise.

Welcome Diaryou! Finally another family....LOL

Me and the wife, a friend from college and his sister, and their dad and step-mom. The step-family is coming, too, but only for the land part, and they're staying off-property someplace.

If anybody else is planning the land part, the March 2006 hours are now out.

Hello,
We just booked (myself, Dh, DD7 and DD6) and are sooooooooo excited. :cheer2: :Pinkbounc This is our 1st cruise and have no idea what to expect. Any advice for a newbie. We may stay at Disney for a few days after but are not sure yet.
Thanks
Shay
Houzer: Where in ON are you from? We live in Whitby.

shaycamp21: Welcome aboard! You will have a blast on your cruise we all did on our last one. Ask away and we'll see if we can help you out, Meshee's family is going with us along with another family.
We are from a very small village outside of Brantford.

Has anyone ever done any of the excursions? They do seem pricey but are they worth the price. One year Dh and I vacationed w/o the kids in the Mayan Riveria (Mexico) and we did this excursion that cost us around $90 US which I later found out had we done ourselves would have only cost $12 US. I would just like to go to the beach and lie around. My dd's seem interested in the stingray excursion though. Any info about excursions.

Also, what kind of weather should we expect on the cruise in March?

:cool1:

POFQ August 2005 Our 1st Magical Trip to WDW .

The only official excursion we've done (this is our third DCL cruise, all on the Wonder) was the Atlantis walking tour in Nassau. It was nice, but a haul. The first time we just wandered through Nassau.

I have no idea what the rest of my group this time will want to do. I think we'll figure it out over the next few weeks and start booking.

I will say I get my fill of beach time at CC, over at the adult beach. It's the most relaxing place I've ever been to in my life. Put my toes in the sand, and a guy with a tray brings me something frothy in a plastic conch shell. Ahhhh... :cool2:

But more importantly (at least for those of us who are doing this cruise on the back end of a Land/Sea...

100 days to go!!

Tomorrow, we become Double Digit Midgets. And it could not come soon enough.

:dancer: :dancer: :dancer:

Absolutely!! We're double digit dancing, folks!! Christmas Eve marks 70 days, btw.

And with the park hours already out, we know we're doing Sunday all day at the MK, with the EMH that night. Most of our traveling group has never been to Disney, so we have to start with Main Street and the Castle. We also know we're ending on Wednesday night with Fantasmic at the Studios, and probably a character breakfast Thursday morning before the bus.

After that, it's nothing but relaxation.

WOW, I just can't believe how time is going by!!!! We are still trying to figure out transportation. We are flying in on the Sunday and we haven't decided what to do because we would like to rent a car but we would also like to take the Disney Bus which seems to much easier. Our dilema is that we are not staying only one week we are coming back to Disney Pop Century for the following week and I don't know if the Disney Bus would take us to Pop and then back to the airport for the price of one week?? I have to make some calls to Disney yet and figure this one out. UGH!!! :confused3
I don't think we will do anything as far as an excursion...I am thinking we missed out on a lot of beach time on our Janurary 7day Western and the hour we did spend their was just not enough for the kids. I am thinking a beach day would be great for them.
What are others doing about telling your children have you done that yet...we are trying to figure out how to surprise them for Christmas??? Not sure how to do that though??? :hourglass Time is running out for ideas, I am going to have to think fast.

Hello everyone,

Well we rebooked for this cruise on The Magic Thanksgiving 2005 cruise. My wife and I will be taking my son and GS (First Time cruises) on this one.

Now that I found the thread. I'll have to go back and catch up on the back posts.

On the Thanksgiving Cruise, we had in excess of 50 DIS families that we knew of. There is a trip report on the report boards with some fantastic pictures. We all wore LIme green shirts at the sail away and in the terminal. It was a blast.

This will be our 3rd Wonder cruise (5th DCl) cruise in all.

Looking forward to begin a new set of DIS friends.

Come on fellow March 9th cruisers,

We can't let this thread become buried in all the other cruise meets.

We have less that 100 days, and tomorrow marks 90.

Excursions can be booked then. Yea

Ken
