March 7th Fast Pass Experiences

I can honestly say I did not notice these "boxes", however I was not looking for them. I will most certainly look when I need to redeem my FP. Currently in RnR line and I do not see any of these boxes.....
Maybe they just wanted to throw people off?

What boxes?
There are "please excuse our dust"-type boxes covering parts of a number of attraction queues around WDW now. It's assumed that these boxes are covering work being done (or will be done) to install devices to support the new "NextGen" FastPass program.

It's still way too early this morning. I'd guess most FPs have return times starting right around this time anyway.

I honestly don't like that it's being enforced BUT in terms of wait times, etc I really don't think it will have that big of an impact. Of the millions that visits WDW every year, how many ppl really knew that you could return past your window? I know I certainly didn't know for our 1998 or our 2001 trip.

I just wonder how many on this board are going to go out of their way to obnoxiously express their displeasure for the change in policy, to the Cast Members manning the FP lines. Or how many are going to wait until 20 minutes past and then obnoxiously test the waters, complain, beg and plead.

Well aren't you just a ray of sunshine?! Sheesh! Way to set the tone.:thumbsup2

Now, thats the h-o-e that I remember. I think if you really tried, you could have crammed one more derogatory term in there...

He is consistent though, I'll give him that. You'd think that now that his life's mission of late FP arrivals being disallowed seems to be complete, he'd be a little happier.

Ridemax just posted a picture of a FP ticket on their facebook page. The front of the FP says "not able to accomodate late arrivals".

Did Ridemax, Tour Guide Mike, and other similar subscription services rely on late use of fastpasses for their strategies?

If so then they will need to revamp their strategies if not already.

Is that fastpass shown as-is, or did someone scan a fastpass and use Photoshop to doctor it up?

When the rumors first came out I think some one posted that I think Ridemax came out with a "Touring Plan if they enforce return times".

This has to be tough for them because now they have to guess when the FP return time will be. Before they could just say well it should be up at say 11:00 AM which gave them a maybe 9 hour window to get back to that ride.

The Mug Entitlements on your receipt for a dining plan that included one was labeled "Mub Entitlements" for at least two years. I wouldn't expect them to get right on fixing this spelling error. Makes you wonder why they don't have spell check enabled though!!

Ridemax has always had a little radio button you could click to "take advantage of late fastpass". If you unclick the button, then it makes your plan so that you use them during the return times. I do wonder how accurate the plans will be now. They were always right on with the late fastpass option. I never tried it the other way, though.

Also, to the PP who said the pic may be photoshopped-- it's not-- Ridemax just posted a similar pic on their FB page for Space Mountain (http://www.facebook.com/ridemax) :sad2:.

It looks like it's really happened :sad1:. --Katie

Question. Can I bring my old "mub" and use it this year? ;)

ETA: the funny thing is I kept looking at your post and thought "she spelled 'entitlements' the same both times".
