Finally... we're driving down Thursday night and plan on spending Friday in Daytona then driving to the Country Inn & Suites Cape Canaveral to spend the night there before taking the shuttle to the port. Anyone else staying there?

I'm ready to go as well, now I just need to do the hard part and pack. I'll do that tonight I put my dress in my suitcase already, it will be making history on the cruise and by history I mean it will be one of the only times in my life I wear a dress, so if you see me in it your lucky

We're at Country Inn & Suites! We're driving 1/2 way Thursday night and decided to go over the WDW when we get in Friday afternoon. We'll hang out at Downtown Disney, play some minature golf, eat dinner and then head on over to CI&S.

Luckily, we only live an hour from the port so we will be leaving around 930 to arrive at the port by 1030....we may not have to wait till 3 to meet....it seems we all will be at the terminal early.....

Last year we went as soon as we could. I think they started rounding people up about 9ish maybe. I can't remember. But yeah, we went on the first bus load. I am assuming we will do the same this year.

We'll be at the Doubletree in Cocoa Beach on Friday night. We get in at 10 pm, at least for us west coasters it will only feel like 7. Then drive into Cocoa Beach. DH has Hilton points to use so it is freeeeee! But I am sure we'll want to be at the port fairly early. We'll be making a booze stop first though...

TWO more days at work! I can hardly stand it!!

We are all packed except carry on bags. Now I just have to get my house prepared for the animals and finish cleaning the house. Hubby has one more night of work, my preschooler has her last day today and my sons last day of school is tomorrow. Everyone is super excited!

Hoping you'll all help with a running joke we've been playing on Food & Beverage officer Daniel. Look for him around the ship and talk to him (a great guy). At some point say.."Oh, you're the HANDSOME Daniel we've heard about". Or if you are just passing by say "Hi HANDSOME Daniel".

Here's a photo so you'll recognize him (the cutie on the left is head server Simone from Italy...sorry he won't be on your cruise, he's on vacation).

Here's the background on the joke:

Met Daniel way back in 08 on the Panama Cruise and just happened to mention to several of my cruisemates how handsome I thought he was. Later when friends were posting their photos they'd point out ones of 'handsome' Daniel.

In January three of us cruised together and when my friend ran into him the first day and was chatting, she said 'oh you're the handsome Daniel I've heard about' then told him the story. That night at dinner (he makes rounds to all the restaurants and bars, so you'll see him all over the place) he came to our table and said he'd be keeping his eye on me as he knew I was the culprit. He said he had a staff of 1,000 to be his eyes and ears. Though I didn't say it, I thought "and I have 100 times that many DISers to keep an eye on you".

So every few weeks someone from the DIS has spoken to him and called him "Handsome Daniel", and now it's your turn to keep up the game, if you will.

Daniel does go on the DISboards when he's on vacation, says its the best was to know what's going on, on the ship!

The EBTA gang has made him a lanyard with a Handsome Daniel name tag. Shhhhh...don't tell!

I have no idea how I am going to get through the next two days.
