March 31-April 7, 2007 Eastern...3rd try :-)

Congrats..I'm still sitting around 370-400 from Detroit.

Hope all had a great thanksgiving. Only about 4 months til we sail :thumbsup2 :hourglass

Southwest has a sale on tickets for spring break. I was able to find tickets from Det-Orl for 268.40. If you still need tickets go check them out.

Congrats on finding the airfare! I wish Southwest would come to Mpls.

Hey, cruisers, it's December and this is the month we can make our excursion, Palo, spa, etc. ressies! Does anyone know what they're doing yet?? We are trying to make some decisions but not making much progress. Maybe we will work better under pressure!

I can't make mine until Jan :-( the day before I leave for WDW.

Sorry, I forgot this is your first cruise. As a repeat cruiser, we can make our ressies Dec. 31 or whenever 90 days is (as long as we're paid in full.)

You must be getting excited about your WDW trip. I had to cancel our mid-Dec. trip to GF since my dad's health has taken a downward turn. I hope we can get there sometime soon. I need a fix!

Minn, how long have you had your "tag fairy" tags? Whats a guy gotta do around here to get tagged?

Funny you should ask! The fairy tagged me on the cruise line board back in 2004. Haven't heard from her since. But two tags are better than none! I'm sure she will find you one of these days.

Hi, everyone. I'm a first time poster, first time cruiser, and I'm so excited!

We're on Deck 6 in a category 11 room I think (we're poor, lol). It's myself and my husband and our five year old daughter. My parents are coming with us - in a nicer room on a different deck, LOL! Smart people.

I'm so excited to get to know you all, and meet you in person in a few months!

Welcome to the powwow. I'm sure you read thru all the post and now have our entire life stories, but were on deck one in cat 9 (2 connecting rooms) with DW, 2 DS (8 and 6) and my mother. We started as a group of 8 but were down to 5 now. Inlaws decided to stay home with DD 2. My 6 yo loves the girls, so maybe they will meet up at the clubs :wizard:

Any of the castaway club members start booking yet? Aren't you castway club members close to the 90 mark soon?

delaneysmom - Welcome aboard! This is our second cruise - we went on the Eastern in January 2004 and had a great time. My kids (DD15 and DS13) can't wait. My sister and brother and their families are on the cruise so there are 12 of us. We have connecting Cat 5s on Deck 7.

I think our CC status allows us to make ressies Dec. 31 - and that's assuming we are all paid up! Yikes! I'd better get on that and determine all our excursions, Palo dates, etc.

Anyone have any plans for excursions yet?

I'm still working on the excursions. Trying to decide which island to fish on, which one to snorkel and where to shop. From some reviews I'm considering fishing at Castaway Cay.

Ok, so tell me - I've read lots of the other posts but what are the definite 'need to know' things I should prepare for?

Since I haven't been yet my insight is limited. I do know you can find cheap tuxs for kids online. Just about the same price as renting them. Also, we aren't planning on swimming in the pools much from what I've heard.

This will be my second cruise...and I haven't even taken the first one yet! HAHA! I am doing my first trip on the Magic starting 2/10 Western, then will be doing this one too a little later! I will be by myself...well, my sister will be on board, but she lives on the ship!

Anyway, just wanted to say hi and that I look forward to sailing with everyone!

Scott

Welcome aboard, YenSid1222!

Two cruises in 2 months - how fun! And you will probably have some good insights with your sister as a CM. Are you sailing two itineraries as well?

Dpuck-

I think we can start Dec. 31 - finalizing plans this week!

Hope everyone had a merry xmas!! We sure did...of course like many families now days, we celebrate about about 4 times...last one is this sunday. Then I can focus more. I have to make my cruise ressies 1 day before I leave for Florida in Jan.

Minn-let us know how your ressies go and what your able to do/not do...

I have completet the online reservation task - at least for now. As much as you think you have planned ahead - and know just what you want - the time comes and it's kind of nerve-wracking! Anyway, I was able to make ressies at Palo for brunch and dinner. We also reserved spots on the banana boats on CC and a Trunk Bay snorkle excursion in St. Thomas. I think we'll do St. Martin on our own - just find a beach and hang out. That's it so far! Any other CC members make their ressies yet? What is everyone else planning? We are only 90 days away from our cruise!!!:cheer2:
