Is there an organized FE exchange for our trip?

I don't think there is an official FE setup yet. I'm happy to start the speadsheet and keep track. Those of you who are interested in participating, just let me know. We did it on the last cruise and it was a blast! My kids were excited every time we made our way back to the room to see what might be waiting for them. We can't wait!!!

There will be 6x of us in our gang. Me , DW , DS 17 , DS 15 , (my parents) aka Grandpa , and Grandma

We love FE Exchanges , so please sign us up!

We haven't booked much in way of excursions: The DW & Youngest DS will be doing the Salsa & Salsa. I see it least one of our other cruising group is doing this. The rest of us will be doing the Tulum Ruins.

I've got pretty much all of our travelling logistics sorted out, but only just now getting back into serious cruise planning mode.

I even just updated our ticker.

March isn't that far away. I can't wait.

My booking window finally opens up on Sunday! What exactly can be booked at that time - I know excursions and Palo - anything else I should be prepared to make decisions on?

For those of you who got trip insurance from a non-Disney company, do you get the insurance before or after you pay off the balance? Or doesn't it matter? (For Disney's trip insurance you have to get it before you pay in full.)

We only booked two things so far: a Palo Brunch and a Cozumel excursion (going to check out the ruins).

Here's another Michigan family all too anxious for our cruise!! We are a family of 5 and look forward to a fun filled trip. We too are signed up for the ruins tour on Cozumel. Our three kids would love to be a part of the FE exchanges. Although this is new to us, so any links or help for us to make sure we do this right is greatly appreciated. Come on March!!!!

I've read on other threads that DCL does have baskets for purchase under the "stateroom gifts" section on the website. Nothing is there yet, maybe in a few weeks? Not sure if I want to pack my own or let DCL do the work for me Will depend upon the price.

Basically, you hang something to hold goodies from your "fish" which is mounted next to everyone's door. Think of it as a secret Santa/crossed with Halloween.

This does not require you to make one, or buy one! Many spend hours making one and love doing it. Others just hang a bag from theirs and have just as much fun.

You take the list I'm keeping track of and visit the others who are participating at some point in the cruise and drop a little gift off in the FE. Usually it's one gift per family though some like to give something to each person, especially the little one's. The gifts do not have to be expensive!

I've done small bags of GA peanuts (making sure no one has allergies before hand) with a sticker on them with my families names, pirate "doubloon" chocolates, etc. I have received small bottles of Rum, autograph books, Disney pins, and other great items. One time we had to use a whole small suitcase to hold all the "loot". That was a huge group though.

This is just another way to add some pixie dust to your cruise.

My recommendation is to not stress about it and just have fun!!

If you want to provide your first names and update your hometown's, etc, that's totally up to you.

On the 4shared site, I've also uploaded some packing lists. Once Navigators show up on the main board I'll post those as well.

The cutoff for the FE participation will be Feb 15 so people can finalize counts of what to buy, make bring....
