Sounds like you have the babysitting thing for Palo worked out, but you could also try to book Flounders for that time as soon as you board (or as soon as the on-board ressies open up) just in case. Don't they also hold back flounders ressies in addition to Palo, Spa, etc. so all the on-line folks don't book them all?

Everyone please remember to PM Norm and Kim2 (kshabare)- the keepers of the list - with your info. Then don't forget to print it out and bring it with you!! Kim - do you think you can finalize it by the weekend before?

I know that we had a great group of Dis'ers last year (not nearly as great as this group!!;) ) but we didn't know how to get in touch with anyone when on board. So at least if we have everyone's room numbers on the list, we can call each other when we want. This is something we didn't have last year, and it was just by happenstance when you ran into others on the boat; I would have liked to check with a couple other people to hook our kids up with activities in the clubs, etc. And there was brunch confusion last year (time problem and some no shows) and the list would have been nice to have so we could have called everyone to let them know what was happening.

Just my humble opinion.... Johnna

Thanks Johnna, I think that is a great idea. I'll e-mail Kim with the rest of our info.
24 days until we sail!!!!!!!! :cool1:

Hi!

Well, after calling several places for quotes, and talking it over with my husband, we won't be on the Magic on March 3rd, but will keep our March 1st on the Wonder ressie instead.

I'll just use the money I save to rebook onboard for a dummy date in the future.

The price difference was enough to pay for another four night and another 7 night cruise combined to switch it at this point.

Have a great cruise!

Anybody doing this excursion with Disney or on your own?. We are definately thinking about doing this on our own. The last time we were on the Eastern we did this with Disney.

Talk at you later..

Hi Norm,
I'm really hoping that we can do this on our own. I'm going to bring all the directions and information on taxis, ferries, etc with me. The only thing that concerns me is that Pirate night is the night before and with the early immigration call, my DD's may not be up for it. If we don't go to Trunk we'll probably taxi over to Maagens Bay beach for a couple hours.
Then my DD's can nap in the afternoon because that is Palo night.

I've been doing some research on this excurion today, (still on short term for another week and 1/2. I definately think it is doable on your own.
You will need to catch a taxi from the ship to Red Hook and then catch the ferry over to St. John. You will need to catch a taxi from Cruz Bay to Trunk Bay. We just have to be conscious of time. I hope we can get a group to go on our own, I think it will be a cool excursion to do.

Talk at you later..

Norm

We are also looking at doing St. Johns on our own. It looks like it is cheaper with 4 to go on your own 3 was questionable, but we wanted to have the freedom to do this on our schedule and other comments seem to make it see reasonable.

Kahlua - click on his name on one of his posts, and choose "send a Private Message" - that's how to send a message just to him and not have it public on the board. Good luck.

I am back to the public board beacause I do not have enough points yet to send a PM, therefore I have gone public!

I was just wondering what the game plan was for meeting everybody how has been apart of this board, it sounds like so much fun.

Talk to you soon Everybody! :tinker:

Hi kshabare,
I was a member here a while ago, but I don't even remember my username anymore. :lmao: .

There's 5 of us going on the cruise :)

My Dh and I are doing the St. John Trunk's bay excursion through Disney. Since this is our first time trying to snorkel I thought it'd be best to go with the professionals. If we had done this before we'd probably be going it solo as well. Good luck.

As far as the on-board meet goes, it is on Saturday in Promenade Lounge from 2:30-3:30ish (between lunch and mandatory life boat drill)

See you there!!

Just ask away. I try to check PM's e-mails and this thread often.

Hi, I'll be on this cruise too!
:welcome: nealrap and I assume family.

You are still with us. I haven't heard from you in a while.

Hi and Welcome to all the new families to our rapidly growing group!

My family has tentative plans for the St Thomas/St John Day...we were booked on a private day sail with another DIS family from our cancelled/postponned 1/20 cruise. It is a snorkle trip to Trunk Bay with a max of 6 people and the 2 owners. Does it look like we (3/3 Disers) want/could do a trunk bay thing on our own? Anyone know the price of ferries/taxis? Let me know...I believe our tentative reservation can be cancelled if we get something going...I know Emily would love doing something with her new DCL friends...

What is everyone's ETA for Saturday and boarding the ship? I am hoping we aren't the last ones (at least of our group, anyway) to board the ship...we arrive MCO at 12:30 on Saturday and between getting luggage and traveling to the port..I am figuring around 2:30/3pm...right in the middle of our planned meet! Hoping we won't miss too much! Let me know when you are all planning to arrive. Thanks

What is that count-down number again?....oh yeah...24..that is 3 weeks plus 3 days...less than a month...2 dozen days....Oh my goodness! I am not too excited...

Hi, I'll be on this cruise too!
Welcome:welcome:

Our group just keeps growing and growing!!!!!:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

We never did come up w/ a group name...did we????

With this many, one of use should be able to come up
with a clever name

As far as St. Johns/St Thomas goes, we are thinking of doing Coral Reef and Coki Beach on our own. With Pirate Night the night before and customs early morning, I didn't want to make any definite plans, we'll just plan it accordingly:confused3

St Maarten: we booked the Butterfly Farm/St Maarten Island Tour through Disney...as you can see, we are not very adventurious:sad2:

Again Welcome to all our newbies!!!!!

Kim 2 you really have your work cut out for you, trying to keep up w/ everyone...I think we'll owe you a drink or two:thumbsup2

Brenda:)

We are planning on being in the first group boarding. And since Caro might still be limping and in her soft boot for traveling and we have a wheelchair for her DM, we should be in group 1. :cool1: :cheer2:

I was looking at the calendar and realized with the holiday, I have only 14 work days left until vacation. party:

Michelle, I'm with you....So excited, I keep saying 4 weeks from today.... all most 3 weeks from today...I think I'll probably drive my family crazy before the actual day gets here!!!!

We are arriving Friday, late afternoon, am hoping to get to the port around 10:30 Sat. morning or so...that's about when we got there for our first cruise, and it seemed to work fine.

Am looking forward to meeting everyone, and putting faces to names:)
