March 3, 2007

Hey all,
It's been a long time (probably a year) since I've checked in. I'm trying to get caught up a little bit. I've seen that someone is keeping a spreadsheet with all of our info. If you could add us, that would be great!

Mike, Kerri, Melanie (11), and Derek (8)

Also cruising with us is my brother's family. Not sure of all the kid's ages so I'll let them post it when they can. But basically it's Bobby and Misty +4 kids.

We've got cruise and airfare paid for and just looking for hotel Friday night and transportation Saturday morning and back.

We are all getting excited and can't wait till the trip!

Mike

Welcome back Mike.
I have been wondering about you guys. I am glad you are still with us.

:santa: :santa: :santa: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

A great big MERRY CHRISTMAS to all.

Two months and a bit less than a week:thumbsup2

Thanks for the welcome. We are getting very excited about the cruise.

For you vets out there, have you taken the Doubloon excursion? I think we are going to book that one, but wanted to get some honest opinions first.

Mike

I made up this fun coloring page for the kids. It is numbered from 1-67. Each day you color on number until all are colored, then it's time for the Cruise! I believe it's 67 days until the cruise...if not, just hold off a day or two and color more than one until you are caught up. Hope you all enjoy it!

If anyone is interested, email me at info@space-engravers.com (my business account) and I'll email it to you.

Mike

Hope everyone had a great Christmas. We took down our tree this morning and are putting our house back in order. Now we can really focus on getting ready for the cruise.
My DD4 got a Little Mermaid tea set from Santa and we were playing restaurant. I was the server and she was the customer. When I brought out four plastic desserts for her to choose from she whispered to me, "Let's pretend we're on the Disney cruise," and then said out loud, "I'll have all four please." Can you guess what we are looking forward to the most?

Now this is a girl who knows what is important.:rotfl: :rotfl: I hope they were all chocolate.

We we are two steps closer to the cruise: We have flights and hotel room.
At least we have flights for us, we are still working on DMIL's (Mamgu) flight. Since she is flying from LAX, SNA, or ONT it is a bit more difficult.

The only things left are car rental and room for night after cruise. We decided to fly out on Sunday rather than go straight to airport. We are thinking on one night at WDW and hang out Saturday at DTD.

Andie,
I tried to PM you (along with the rest of the crowd) and the attempt failed as your inbox is too full PLEASE CLEAN OUT YOUR PM's
Thanks

Hi, this is for all the kids going on our cruise....

We just ordered pirate costumes, we didn't wear them last cruise. Are any of you dressing up for pirate night??? pirate:

Hey all - we've been off line since we've battled pink eye and vomiting children since Christmas Eve. We were shut-ins for Christmas Eve and Day rather than visiting friends and relatives. We did make it to NJ on Tuesday to celebrate Christmas with my family, but alas, the vomiting returned and didn't abide until yesterday. Luckily Mark and I are still healthy (fingers crossed) and hopefully our only vomiting will occur from too many pomegranite martinis on New Year's Eve!!:drinking: :drinking:

Hope you all have a happy new year celebration - if you're in our neck of the woods, stop by - we're hosting!

:hourglass Time is flying by...

Johhna and Mark...sorry to hear about your Christmas  Here's hoping that you will have nothing but FUN ( and Pomegranite Martinis) for News Years Eve!!!!

Cheers to all.. for a Happy & Healthy NEW YEAR:drinking:

Mark and Johnna, if we were anywhere close, we would be there for the party :dance3: party: I always like to start off my birthday at a gathering. Lift one for me after midnight :drinking1:We should have looked you guys up when we were in DC in May for a wedding. :sad2:

My beloved Caropooh has found rental cars :car:and hotels for us for both ends of the trip. We will be at the Residence Inn the night before the cruise and the night we get back we will be at the Royal Plaza by DTD.

Has anyone done the dolphin encounter (participant) in Nassau? Is it worth it?

Linda

Don't think I'm going to make it til midnight, so here it is a bit early...

Happy New Year everyone!party:

Now, we're in the same YEAR as the cruise:rotfl:

Went to see the Pirates of Penzance (sp?) today with DS6 (it was a live production adapted for kids) which has put us in the mood for the Pirates In The Caribbean party - woohoo!:woohoo:

As you have read, we spent our vacation a little occupied with two sick kids (again, furthering my secret campaign to move to Florida), but Happy New Year everyone.

We are now really starting to focus on the trip.

Mark

Happy New Year everyone and Happy Birthday yesterday, Alanapapa!
Well, I found flights for my Mom yesterday, so we are all good to go! :cool1: We just need to get travel insurance and then I think that will be it!
Harg to believe we have just 2 months now!

:bday: Alanapapa!

And Happy New Year everybody! Only two months to go before we can party: together.

Hey everyone,

I received the email that I have pasted below from my super-helpful travel agent, Sue Ellen, at Dreams Unlimited.

The bottom line is that I personally can make only one reservation, but that does not preclude anyone else from making another reservation at another time.

As I did last year, I plan to make a 10:00 am reservation for brunch on our first morning at sea (Sunday). Our group will include myself, Johnna and my Uncle Richard. This will take up three of our maximum of 14 spots.

So I know that people have expressed interest in doing this and my suggestion is that you post here, indicating an interest in joining us. When we reach the 14, we'll "nominate" someone else to make the second (and maybe third reservation). I know that people have expressed interest in doing this, but to be honest, I have lost track and will go blind and/or crazy if I try to reconstruct the list from our board. These Palo brunches are not to be missed, and if we are lucky enough to have Sasha as our server again, it will be heaven.

SO...could you please paste the list below into your message, then when we get to 14, we'll get a volunteer to start a second list. Sue Ellen did not mention it, a Disney person told me that we should include stateroom numbers too.

Make sense? Here goes:

1. Mark Story (the reservation will be under my name - Stateroom 6550
2. Johnna Story - Stateroom 6550
3. Richard Harrison - Stateroom 6553

Note it ATTENTION: Hassle Free Specialist/Palo

Be sure to include the following:

DCL Reservation number

Reason for your request

Number of guests you will have for the room

Contact name (yours)

Phone number where you can be reached

Email and/or fax number for you

***very important—this must be for at least 12 people and up to 14 maximum.
