Hey Gary - whattup?!!! I copied your same information into my sheet and I'll send you the latest and greatest spreadsheet. I also added your inlaws. Can you believe it was still within this year that we went on the Western? It seems like an eternity ago! We had such a great time and meeting everyone in the Port Canavral lobby was one of the highlights of the trip.

I see you cabin is just down the hall from ours. We're in 2578 this year. I hated 2572!

TTYL.....

Welcome this is our second Disney cruise too! My daughter is 8 and son is will be 6. Sorry everyone for being gone sooooo long. We are planning on flying in on Thurs and staying on Disney and going to Blizzard Beach Friday we are trying to get all relaxed before we get on the ship. Thanks Mark for the website info.

Does anyone have a link to the thread with pictures of the food from the cruise? I know I've seen it somewhere on these boards, but can't find it now. I really want to show my DH some of the food. Especially the buffets.

Ok - I missed the wine tasting the last two cruises, and absolutely MUST do it this time. We should plan to go together! That way, I will HAVE to go so I don't let anyone down. :thumbsup2
While Caropooh doesn't like wine, I do. I will accompany anyone else going to this one.

We'll start the wine tasting club,( do they meet more then once?) :woohoo: DCL has a wine package that you can purchase for the week at meals, I believe there are two plans. We didn't know about it on the last cruise!

I think they met twice on the Western we did in March, although we only went once - we'd be into a wine-tasting clue  I hear there is also beer-tasting, martini-tasting, and tequila-tasting too! :cool1:

oops- wine tasting "club", not "clue" - you'd think I'd already started the tasting, if you judge by my typing some days:)

I could definitely be a member of the wine tasting club. The wine package you mentioned may not be worth it if you only drink one or two glasses with dinner or only one of you drinks wine - DH doesn't really drink wine, so I didn't get the package b/c it probably would not have been economical. I actually brought some of my favorite wine with me on board to keep in the cabin, and it worked out well. I still had a glass at dinner each night, but it was nice to wind down and have a glass while getting ready for dinner, or out on the verandah in the evenings.

And welcome to all the newcomers and welcome back to all the "been-away-awhiles" - we're keeping the thread alive.

Reds,Whites, Blush, Sparkling, or combonation??

Imported or Domestic?

I personally prefer the lighter whites and blush, but like some of the less intense reds.

I'd do the wine tasting, but am not much of a drinker and would likely need for the kids to be in the Oceaneer Club for an hour or so afterwards. But it sounds like fun. Pretty much, everything is fun on the cruise anyway, unless your son is throwing up in your lap on the way to the submarine ride (see my prior posting and accompanying trip report). Or maybe I could drink a bunch of wine and return the favor for my DS.

I'm currently in a red phase - lately I've been drinking Pinor Noir, Shiraz, or some Cabernet/Merlot blends. I typically stick to domestic, but not for any particular reason. I used to only drink chardonnay or pinot grigio, with ice ( :scared1: yes, I know) but then got on to the reds. I guess I'll go back to whites when I get bored with reds. I'm so fickle. :rolleyes1

Being a California native I am especially fond of California wines, though Chateau St Michelle in Woodinville WA makes some great wines. I do like Chianti, Mateus, and Lancers, as those were the wines I grew up with.

I'm more of a white or rose wine drinker (although I have a glass of red on the go at the moment). Right now I seem to be into wine spritzers (with sprite or 7-up)

Hmm, I noticed tonight that according to our countdown tickers we seem to be leaving on various days for our cruise! Some of us are 7 months,
1 day, some of us are 7 months 2 days! There might even be a 3rd option! Even in the same house(ours) we seem to be leaving different days! I wonder if the DD's are flying with me or Alanapapa! :rotfl2: Have some of you started the wine tasting already?
Welcome to all of our new people! We are over 60 now!!!

"What you talkin' about Wills?" Yours, mine and Johnna's all say 7 months 1 day.. I think you have been sampling the wine too early... oh yeah, you don't do wine.

I love that saying!!

Willis... I mean, Caropooh - I think since you are on the west coast and the whole time-change thing, and whatever the heck time this board is hosted in (GMT?), (and the fact that you guys are just having dinner as I crawl into bed!) that our tickers may have read differently.

Leave it to the DH to be the first to criticize... :stir:

Hey everyone! I love you little winos. I figure I'd chirp in here. I can't do red - I've tried it. I guess it's my love for frosting that get's me loving the pinks. I especially like the cheap stuff - Arbor Mist is my favorite. In fact, I too smuggled a couple of bottles onboard a couple of trips ago. Our steward was great - he kept my bottle on ice all day long so that I could pour a glass and bring it with me to dinner.

I know I'm supposed to be good and trying to lose my 5 lbs. but now you're all making me want to make a pina colada with the Pineapple Rum we purchased in February!

213 days for us! We'll be the ones back here whining on the boards on Friday night. Someone's gotta do it....

Kim

Hey Mark!
can you make sure you add my Mom(Shirley aka Mamgu) to the list for Palo Brunch? I haven't asked her yet, but I'm sure she'll want to go too.

Caropooh,

I'd be happy to add her. We've got plenty of time before I can fax the reservation, so I'm going to make sure that I have a complete list before doing so.

I have a feeling, like the last time we sailed, we're going to need two brunch reservations, which is fine with me.
