My family is looking forward to cruising on the Dream. We've cruised a couple times before, but never with Disney. We're from the St. Louis area, and our daughter is 9 years old. We're interested in participating in the "Fish Extender" game - just read about it and think it's a great idea!! Does anyone know if a list has been started for our cruise yet? :)

We are about 2 hours from St. Louis in southern Illinois. This is our first Disney cruise. My son is 9and plans to spend all his time in the kids club. Husband could not get off work, so it's just the 2 of us. I'm sure your daughter and my son will be in some group activities together. We are planning to attend the DiS meet on Sunday at 3pm. We can hardly wait!

Have been watching the weather mid to high 70's beat what we have now in Wiscosin lucky to get 35. Can't wait to spend time with the Grand kids

I would take warm rain over the cold rain here in Oregon. Maybe rain would keep the warm weather people out of the pool so all us cold weather people can enjoy it! :-)

Do any of you disney cruise veterans have packing tips for a newbie? What dud you bring that you never used/needed? What did you wish you had brought? Do you bring you own snorkel gear? I know you can rent it, but we have our own that we like to use on vacations.

Don't overpack clothes! Bring $1 bills for room service tips. We bring snorkel gear for DS. Didn't use the over the door organizer. Will leave the laptop at home this time. Glad we brought pre-packaged candy for the shows and movies. We like using an underwater camera at CC.

I agree with skipping the over-the-door organizer. This ship has much more counter space than typical cruise ships.

Weather.com has next week in Orlando pre-cruise in the mid to high 80's! :yay::yay::yay:

WhooHoo! More girls for my DD11 (almost 12) to hang out with! Hope you're coming to the meet at 3:00 at Vista cafe! I can't wait to introduce my 3 girls to some new friends.

Movies onboard your Disney Dream sailing will be the following:

The Avengers
Brave (2D and 3D)
The Odd Life of Timothy Green
Finding Nemo 3D
Frankenweenie
Wreck-It-Ralph
Lincoln
Oz The Great and Powerful

Happy to see Oz on that list now. I wonder if they will show it in 3D.

I hope so! I will definitely see Oz either way, though- and maybe Timothy Green and Brave, too...:)

Saw Oz this weekend for DD's birthday party. Loved it! We only saw it in 2D, though. I'll probably try to catch it in 3D on the ship. It was obvious where the 3D effects would be, and they looked like they'd be pretty cool.

Wow - looks like we could spend a lot of time in the theaters!

Thanks for the list. Maybe we'll get to see a movie on board.

Just got a call from Southwest. Our flight is oversold and they wanted us to take a later flight. We are flying in on Saturday morning, but I said no way. I don't want to take any chances. Now I am worried, but at least we know and will plan on getting to the airport early. I paid the extra money for priority assignments, so I think we are covered, but it still is a little worrisome.
