March 24, 2012 - 6 Night Western

Besides losing the stop at Key West, does anyone know how the 6 night vs. 7 night cruise will be different? Also, do they pull CMs from all ships to staff the Fantasy? I'm assuming we will see the new ship when we return from our cruise, it would be exciting to get a tour!:yay:

I am trying to find us all some information on how the 6 night cruise will differ from the 7 night cruise. So far I have heard that we will more than likely have Formal night, Semi Formal night (should be Till We Meet Again), and Pirate night ! Yay! Hopefully, that will leave the 3 other nights for rotational dining's regular menus. Anyone heard anything different from this?

Getting so excited. Can't wait to be back on the Magic!

We were on a Western Magic cruise last January, and we did the Dolphinaris swim with our family in Cozumel. It was a bit pricey, but amazing!
I'm debating doing the Tulum ruins this time, but it specifically says you can't climb up them, and that was the highlight of the tour 4 years ago when I went.
I can't wait to go back and visit the Stingrays at Stingray Sandbar again! That is my FAVORITE excursion ever! :)

Hi everyone - If anyone is coming into Orlando on the 23rd and renting a car to get to the port, I just got a mid size from Dollar for $26.18 including all the taxes!!! Wanted to let everyone know!!!! :thumbsup2

Welcome Aboard!!!!:banana: You will have a great time.

Matthew and Hunter should make plans for a shuffleboard or a ping-pong match. We've been on numerous cruises and there usually aren't a lot of kids around his age. This cruise seems more 10-12 yr old boy centric. Awesome! Does Matthew play lots of video games or is he more of a wandering solitary soul (that's my Hunter)? Hunter loves to just hang out. He's not one of the really outgoing kids that is always playing in the Wii tournaments and stuff. He hangs out in the background a lot.

I see you are traveling with a Grandma. My Mother-in-Law is coming on this trip with us as well. She is 76. May I ask if your's is around the same age? I know my MIL (Marilyn) would love to have some others around her age and activity level. This is her very first cruise as well!

I have added your info to the roll call in post #2. Just let me know if you are interested in joining the FE list as well.

Oh Matthew is no video game star either, he is one who usually likes to hang with the adults.. and I want him to find some friends and hang with them...sounds like he and Hunter will get along well. My M-I-L is mid 60's so she might enjoy company as well, esp when we are doing shore excursions she may not enjoy. She is on oxygen much of the time (tho you can't tell by all she does in a day) and has a very small very portable O2 concentrator that is on wheels so she is all over the place.

Can you tell me a bit about the FE? I understand its a small gift, but about how many would I need to bring? I think my kids would love it, but I also don't want to disappoint anyone if I don't have a "cool" gift...some I have looked up online are amazing....

Hi, Kellie! We have switched staterooms & I wanted to let you know that we are now in 5016 so you can update the FE list. My DH's parents are going to join us on this cruise & they are now in 5018! Their names are Jimmy & Peggy, if you want to add them to the roll call. Not sure about whether they are going to do the FE yet, but I'll update you when I know something concrete! Thanks!

Got your changes!

Too funny---we bookend your rooms. My family is in 5020 next to your in-laws and my Mother-in-law is in 5014 next to you. We'll be going back and forth in front of your rooms all cruise long. Hope we don't disturb you. We couldn't get 2 rooms together, how did you find those together at this date?

We booked this cruise onboard the Magic back in April. My in-laws decided about 3 months ago to join us & our AMAZING TA managed to find the room next to us available. We were pretty excited! :cool1: We are the ones who will probably be disturbing you guys. Our sweet princesses are not exactly tame!

We are such dorks, when we booked on board we took our girls and had them stand in front of the door to the cabin we had originally booked & took their picture! I have it on my bulletin board in my classroom at school as motivation! I know I can make it until March, I know I can! :rotfl:

Hello, Cruisers!

Because the Red Sox got put out of the baseball playoffs I am a little bored, so I have gotten overly involved with the Pinterest website according to my husband! :) This new Pinterest hobby is turning my FE gift into an obsession! I have a really cute idea, but I need your help. If you don't mind, I would LOVE for you guys to post who your and your kids or cabinmates favorite Disney characters are. I would SUPER appreciate it. You can just post them here or PM me or whatever! That way my FE gifts can be a little more personal!

Thanks guys!

If the FE list gets split into two groups, how will you know at this point which cabins will be on your list? What is Printerest by the way?
Barb

I hadn't thought about that, Barb! The FE gift I am doing can be used for other things too, so I am going to go ahead and start making them and just use what I need for the cruise. If we split the FE, I can give the others as gifts to people here at home.

Pinterest is a website that has tons of really neat craft ideas and recipes and fashion/photography/holiday ideas. It is a virtual pinboard that gives crafty people a place to stick all the good ideas they find on the web. If you want to PM me your email address, I'll send you the link. I LOVE that website. I have gotten tons of great ideas from there!

Julia, my DD13, would be happy to email/text with you. It will just be her and I on this cruise and she has met up on our previous Disney cruises with friends met on the DISboards. I've PM'd you her info.

When we return from the cruise, we are looking at staying at a Disney resort for 2 nights. There are 8 of us so it would have to be 2 rooms or a villa. We are unsure about going to the parks or just lounging at the pool and maybe Downtown Disney. I would love to watch the fireworks at MK over that weekend. Can any of you Disney fans help me out as to where would be a good place to stay and/or see the fireworks?

Thanks
Tracy
