March 24, 2012 - 6 Night Western

Tell me about it!!!!:rolleyes1

BTW does anyone know what will be different on this cruise since it is only a 6 nighter?

Oh yeah, 300 DAYS!!!!!

We did the 7 night Western Caribbean on the Magic this past January. The only difference is eliminating the stop at Key West (which IMHO was nothing really great, anyway)...
On our cruise, the 1st day at sea was the Formal night, and the Cozumel day was Pirate night (probably because the following day is at sea).
Hope this helps!

BTW...we've done both the Eastern and Western itineraries, and prefer the Western. Grand Cayman is my absolute favorite port of all 4 cruises that I've done.

Did anyone else get their "Bon Voyage" booklets in the mail? We got ours yesterday, and now it seems so real! DH and I go back to work on Wednesday, and we're already counting the days until Spring Break.

Ahoy!
We just decided to book this cruise! It will be our 4th DCL cruise, and the 1st one that we've done without the kids! :)
So excited to get to know everyone, and we are DEFINITELY in for FE! :)

Welcome aboard! Sorry it took so long for me to respond. Summer activities have taken over around here. I updated the spreadsheet and post #2 with your info. Just let me know when you have your cabin # and I will add it. Thanks.

We are currently at 23 cabins for the FE.
The breakdown is 42 adults & 26 children, which = 68 total people in those cabins

Here is our poll:

1. FE cutoff at 20 cabins and we start 2 groups?

2. FE cutoff for first group at 25, and then start a new group?

3. Wait and cutoff at 30 cabins?

Please respond with your choice and we'll go with the majority decision.

We've already bought 30 "bases" for our FE gifts, so we're good with going up to that number.

Since this is our first cruise and our first FE-we are open to anything. Split whatever way makes the most sense to the most people and we will follow along.:cool1:

Hello Everyone,

This is GeorgeY's sister, we are going to be on this cruise and would like to participate in the Fish Extender.

We're on a cruise this October, and we cut off the FE 2 months prior to the cruise (which was today!)
We had a bunch sign up at the last minute (it about doubled this last week).
I'd say set a cut off date, and then see how many there are. Then, split into relatively even groups of no more than 25? You could of course split it by who signed up when, but it would stink to have 1 group of 25 and then a very small group.

I like your idea. I had been wondering about uneven groups as well.

Does that sound like a good plan for everyone?
We can decide to just cut off the FE group sign-up at 2 months prior to cruise (January 24)?
Then we can divide he FE into even groups if necessary?

I say yes. What do you all say?

I agree, lets wait until 2 months prior to the cruise to cut it and divide it if necessary. Good idea.

Welcome to everyone new, including my sister, who I got to join as well.

Thanks
George

We will be joining everyone on the cruise! We are getting married on Castaway Cay on November 12, 2011 and since I am an elementary school principal, I cannot take time off for a honeymoon until Spring Break. This cruise will be our HONEYMOON!! We are all booked but are going to rebook on our wedding cruise for the discount. :)

Congratulations Lisa and Geoff. On both the Marriage and honeymoon.

Welcome to the cruise.

Congratulations! I will add you to the cruise roll call in post 2.

My mother-in-law is joining us and booking a room on this cruise. She got tired of listening to us talk about all the fun we have on board and wants to experience it herself! It will be her first cruise and her first time ever leaving the continental US. She is 76 yrs young.
Is anyone on this cruise traveling with family or friends that are close to her age? She is a little worried that she won't be able to keep up, even though we keep telling her she can do as much or AS LITTLE as she wants on board. This is her first "real" vacation ever! So she should definitely sit back and relax and enjoy it all.

My mom and dad are on this cruise and we are celebrating my mom's 75th birthday. It is the first time they have ever taken a trip like this.
