Hello all! I hope you have room for a few more; we would love to come play! We are Bryan and Madelene from Nashville, along with our kids William (8), Camille (6), and Beck (3). This is our first Disney Cruise but we're avid, three times a year, WDW vacationers. So we're beyond thrilled to try out a DCL cruise and feel even more fortunate we'll be sailing on the Dream! We're really excited about this active group as well. Some of our greatest life long friends were found on the meet boards for the first (and only) cruise we took together. Hello! My family and I just returned from our cruise on the Disney Dream on Sunday. It was our 1st cruise on the Dream but our 5th Disney cruise. While onboard, we re-booked for next Spring Break. I will be traveling with my DH and DD12 and DS8. I was reading through your thread and was wondering what SSMC stands for. I am assuming that most of you are DVC members???

Sue, Sue, where are you????????????? Hope all is well with you. Miss hearing from you.


Lisa and Sue - just letting you know that we will only be in the Philadelphia area for 3 hours next week while on Becca's Sr. trip. They really have everything planned out for every minute of this trip. We are to be arriving around 10:45 and leaving at 1:45 to go on to NYC. I'm sorry to say, but I don't think there would be any time to try and meet. Bummer.

I'm excited about getting to know everyone. I made friends on my 2009 St. Croix meets thread that I still chat with regularly and am friends with on Facebook. We had a great group and it was lots of fun. The meets threads since then haven't been quite as active and I didn't get to know as many people.

Can you believe I have NO POSTERS joining me on the 2011 Christmas cruise on the Wonder thread?! It's an 8-night special cruise!! I see rooms selling and the price increasing so I know I'm not alone out there...! Crazy huh.

Good Morning all, Have a good day...I am trying to still wake up...Clothes washer quit working Sunday, I have tomorrow off to wait for the repairman, ugh. Then I need to get my emissions test done on my car, so I can renew my tags.And so that makes this my Friday

I am trying to get packed to get ready to go with Becca on her Sr. Trip to DC/Philly/NYC on Saturday for a week. Yay, a bus ride from here to there. Can't wait to see the sites. But they have everyday so crammed full of activities I don't think there is any down time really except for when riding the bus.

I'm really excited for the day in NYC and going to see Wicked on Broadway. I have always wanted to see a show on Broadway and since I seen that one performer on the 2007 member cruise from Wicked, I have wanted to see that show. Woo Hoo!

Our 20 year old microwave kicked the bucket Tuesday so we got a new one at Sam's Club last night. If the economy doesn't improve, it's nor our fault because we've been buying stuff!!!

Mary, NOW DCL cruises Alaska out of Seattle !!! I would have been so much easier and cheaper if we could have done that.

The new itineraries do look interesting but we're not changing our existing plans.
Gotta hit the lottery so Gail and I can do the Hawaii cruise.

Gray - transportation is cheaper, but did you notice many of the days are even shorter and the Victoria stop is only 3 hours in the evening. I'm just as glad we're getting in a few days early and can enjoy Vancouver and Victoria.

Would love to cruise around Hawaii, but there is no way we can take that long a trip day or money wise. Our plan is to go to Aulani for our anniversary next October.

It seems to be such a long time since I have been out here. I have tried to keep up a little better on Facebook but still too busy to really keep up with everything online.

Chris - what day will you be in Philly and exactly where are you going? I assume Liberty Bell and other historic sites.

Lisa - we get the final itinerary tonight. Things may change if the government shuts down, I don't know for sure. And we leave first thing tomorrow morning. But right now it says we are to be arriving at 11:20 at Constitution Center and doing a tour/lunch. And then doing a carriage ride through the historic district and we are to be leaving Philly at 1:45 to head to NYC. So we won't be there for very long. And Becca told me this morning that I guess there is a back up plan in case the government shuts down. But we were going to get a tour of the White House and I sure hope that is not cancelled. So long as I get to see it I guess that will be ok.

I am really nervous about going on this trip too. I was stressed last night about packing and what to take, where to put it and so on. Cuz we need a carry on bag with clothes, a suitcase with everything else, and then a bag for when we get to NYC. Ughhh, too many bags. So, I am just taking one bag and my carry on. Hope that works. If not, guess I will get in trouble. DVC has spoiled me with a washer and dryer in the room. I am gonna miss that since I have to take soooo many things with me on this trip.

It guarantees that we'll take a vacation every year.

The room part of our vacation is paid for (for the most part except for yearly due).

We have the variety to stay in different size accomodations at a wide variety of resorts.

I LOOOOOOOVE the one bedrooms because of the separate bedroom, king size bed, kitchen, washer/dryer and jacuzzi tub.
