Ok, guys, the countdown for us today is 4 days and counting.

Today Brooke got her hair cut. We did ours last weekend. Bobby got his new shoes and Brooke got some glow sticks to take down for the Halloween party! Oh, and our biggest and best score today was some shorts for Brooke. She only had one pair so we went to JC Penney's not planning on them having any left on the rack. Especially in her size. But they had 5-6 different ones that she tried on. She liked three of them so we thought for $1.97 a pair we could swing it. :rotfl: Then when we got up to the register they took another 15% off so we got her three pair of shorts, normally $34 a piece, for a whopping $5.36! Total. Man, we couldn't even believe it. I told the clerk I felt like we were stealing. She said I know isn't it great. So, it was a good day. :thumbsup2

Hello everyone, were back!!!:confused3

I don't know where the last week went.

We had a great time, the kids kept us very busy, and I ate way too much good food, so now I must get down to business and lose lots of weight.:rolleyes1

Ok now I will give you a liitle bit of info on the tree houses,

They are nice but very dark, even with the lights on, you have trouble seeing in the bedrooms, I think they think, you will get a lot of light from the windows. But you don't, cause the trees are close and shade you from the sun. The only rooms you could see in were the kitchen/living room and the bathrooms.

We could not regulate the tempture in the treehouse the kitchen/living room was cold and the bedrooms were warm.:confused3

I brought balls for the kids to play, but there was not anywhere to play, It was heavy wooded and almost like a swamp.

you can only park one car at the villa. If you use Disney Transportation, you must take the tree house bus to saratoga, then catch the bus to where you want to go.

Wow". That is good info to know. Thanks Dianne.

Hi trip part 2, The bus transportation left something to be desired. Most of the time, the buses were running 30 min or more for pick - up. one night we were in downtown Disney we waited over 50 minutes for a bus to downtown. the next morning, we waited over 35 minutes for a bus from SSR,to Hollywood studios but I do have to admit, we did not ever have a long wait at the tree houses, they kept that bus rotating between tree houses, north and south stop & the grandstand or the springs.

we had a good time in the parks, I think the little ones got about every autograph they could, the 7 and 11 year old did a lot of pin trading, the 4 year old started a pin collection.:rotfl:

Here is where we dined.

Sunday , the Coral Reef
Monday, Kouzzina by Cat Cora
Tuesday, Les Chefs de France
Wendsday, Wolfgang Puck Cafe
Thursday, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
Friday, Restaurant Marrakesh
Sat on way out...Earl of Sandwich, yummy:thumbsup2

Most of these I enjoyed, but Wolfgang Pucks was my favorite:lovestruc

We also got some bad news when we got home, DH was laid off again! well it was only suspose to be a two week job, and we got a few months instead...:confused3

Good morning everyone! Happy Wednesday. Checking in from Old Key West!

Dianne - thanks for the information on the tree houses. Pretty much what I was expecting. So sorry to hear about Michael's lay off. Here's hoping there is another job just around the corner for me.

Our trip has been great and very very relaxing.

Friday had a nice trip down to TN and got to see family which is always nice.

Saturday had another nice trip down to Pensacola Beach, FL. Our room was right on the gulf. We had a nice dinner at a place called Paradise Grill (kind of reminded us of Grills at Port Canaveral).

Sunday met up with cruise friends for Breakfast at Margaritaville in Pensacola Beach. It was great to see them and the hotel is very nice but not what we were expecting (doesn't have a feel of Jimmy Buffett feel). We then drove down to Old Key West. The ride down 75 was crazy with lots of local traffic. We got to Old Key West and immediately ran into friends Scott and Lynn who were on one of the earlier Member Cruises with us.

Monday we spent the morning in the room (felt good to sleep in after getting up and driving each morning) and then headed over to Epcot for Food and Wine. We did the full tour of the countries and Mark really enjoyed many of the booths (I'm a pretty plain eater so didn't try much). We ran into Scott and Lynn again. We were too full for dinner so that evening we took a walk up to the General Store and walked back eating Mickey bars.

Yesterday was our Magic Kingdom day. We wanted to check out the updates to Haunted Mansion, Pirates and the Tiki Room. Loved them all! We went to Kona Cafe for lunch (always one of our favorites) and then shopping over at Downtown Disney.

No real plans for today (we had planned on going to Kennedy but decided on the way down to skip that). So we may do mini-golf or just may chill out.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning!

Mary, your vacation sounds heavenly. Nice and relaxing. Just as it should be. Safe travels on your way home!

Monika, yeah, I think there is still room in the suitcase for ya. Come on! :goodvibes

This will probably be my last post till we get back. Our bags are all packed and ready to go in the vehicle when I get home from work. Just getting through today is gonna be a killer. Work has been very slow so I hope the day just doesn't drag.

But after work I am going to pick up Brooke from school, run home to finish up stuff there and wait for Bob to get home. Pack the vehicle and off to Des Moines we go for the night. Tomorrow is going to be a very early morning for us as our flight leaves at 6:00 so I will be getting up around 3:30 to shower and get ready. Then we are doing MNSSHP tomorrow night. So it is gonna be a very long day. But I can't wait!

So, everyone have a great weekend and we'll talk to you next week! :flower3:
