March 2024 Trip Preparations - 7 Month Window

Planning on taking wife to Aulani for her B'day next year. We will need a studio.

Appears the Hotel and Standard categories are booked at the 11 month mark.

For you experts, what type of studio should I be able book in October at the 7 month mark?

Since this is probably a once in a lifetime trip, I am not as concerned to be a "point miser" as normal.

For the points, which category do you prefer if there is availability?

I was at Aulani this March. When I booked last August at the 7 month mark there were island garden view, poolside garden view and ocean view studios available.

I booked a ocean view studio and put in a room request for: 1. Ewa Tower; 2. Highest floor; 3. Inner facing

I was very happy with our room view.

From what I saw, I don't think the poolside garden view looks that great, but the island garden view if you face the luau looks pretty nice.

Aulani is an amazing place and you're going to love it. I would probably book an Ocean View Studio and like @PoppyJ said, 1. Ewa Tower; 2. Highest floor; 3. Inner facing. When the family and I go, I try and book Island Garden View Studios because if my room request goes through, I get to see the ocean and Luau from the balcony. Super cool.

Yeah, I would do Ocean View, and it should be available right at the 7 months reservation window, just don't delay in booking. Enjoy the special occassion!
