Long story short my friends brother is getting married in Disney in March, and her boyfriend of 10 years and her broke up, so she doesnt want to go solo. So I get to go (yay!!).
I'm trying to do prelim planning to come up with a few options for what different options would cost for us, as she'd like to split a room. Money is tighter for her than me, so budget is important, but the rest of her family and most of the bridal party that she is a part of is in GF, so its trying to balance budget and closeness.
Her brother has a block of rooms at the contemporary which is cheaper than GF, I will have a bounce back from august that could hopefully save more money if that works for the dates.
My question is how much money can you save booking a studio on rented points? Does anyone have an approximate price per night they've seen on BLT, GF, Poly or maybe an Epcot area resort? Is it significantly cheaper than a bounce back standard room?
If all else fails, I can easily pay rack for POP, but I'd prefer to treat her to something nicer and cover the difference between a POP room and a deluxe standard room/studio.
