March 2014 Airfare

Hello DISers!

I have been looking for many months for a "deal" on March Break airfare. We would be flying out of Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal or Syracuse (our preference).

Every year I have been able to find airfare through JetBlue for around $99-150 for one way. This year is no where near those prices! Did I miss the deals? Any chance they're still coming??

A month or so ago we booked Southwest out of Buffalo March 5-12 for $270 Canadian each return (I think it was about $250 US each).

Both are non stop flights, so we think that was a good deal. Subscribe to a flight watch thing like Kayak, they will alert when there I a price change.

Have you tried Buffalo? I always fly Jet Blue out of Buffalo and get great deals. Granted I usually go in May so it is not as busy obviously. I do know that flights on Jet Blue for March have been on sale for a long time and their seats get more expensive as the flights book up. Not sure if you'll find any sales for them now....

we booked Jet Blue about a month ago after watching prices for about 3 weeks. Got three of us booked for $917 all in for March direct Syracuse to Orlando. Looks like prices have gone up since then. But hey its $3000 for 3 with Air Canada from Ottawa direct (and they managed to lose somebody's dog this week- and then try to blow it off- just read the news)

I too have been watching Jetblue out of Syracuse. The prices seem to continually go up. We booked in July and got ours for $300 each. I have not seen any specials for any better prices for Jetblue.

Buffalo doesn't work for us, but I tried Southwest out of Rochester and saved over $1500! Thanks so much!
