March, 2013 reservations?

Our children are travelling to Disney with the high school band, and my wife and I are taking a Disney vacation along with them. They're riding the bus, and we're flying. First time with just the two of us, for the most part. When can I make reservations for the end of March, 2013?

More than likely late summer though the Disney web site has March 2013 listed but no price. So I am guessing late summer

You should be able to make your room reservations now..we've already got our June 2013 room ressie booked!

That is strange as when I looked at the web site it said in both vacation packages or just room only up to Dec 31, 2012

Online you can't book yet but you can book room only if you call. Packages are not out yet.

This is correct. You can book room only now by calling, which will be quoted at the highest rate for 2012 and then adjusted once the 2013 rates are released. A deposit of 1 night's room rate + tax is required, with the balance due at check in. If you want a package or want to book online, you have to wait until the rates are released, which should be sometime this summer. New rates usually come out in August, but the 2012 rates were released in early to mid June of 2011.

Thanks. March 25th-30th is peak season, so I can expect to pay approx. this year's peak season rates? I'm assuming that I can call and ask for a AAA rate and get it? Then if a package or better rate comes up, I can cancel and make other reservations?

I'm sorry, I didn't put it together that March is peak season and that's when you would be going. So, yes, what you would book now should be pretty close to what you will pay without any kind of discount. If you book with a AAA discount and later on a better discount comes out, you can change to get the better offer. Good luck and happy planning .
