March 2008?

What's it like in Mid March at Disney World?

VERY BUSY! It's spring break season and Easter falls early this year, so mid-March - early April will be packed! The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World Crowd Calender has mostly 8s and 9s. Easter week is 10 (on a 1 out of 10 scale with 10 being the busiest. Easter is the second busiest week of the year, only second to Christmas week.

Last year we were there the beginning of March - we didn't have hardly any waits for any rides. I think the longest we stood in line was for Winnie the Pooh! LOL If you go later in March you are going to start running into Spring Breakers. I thought we picked a perfect time to go and would go again at the beginning of March! :)

We were there this time of year once. The weather was great but the crowds were awful Especially since it was the week before Easter. If you can work around spring break and Easter you should.

We are going March 15 - 22. Some of these posts have me worried. I hope that the crowds will not be to bad. 30 minute wait times are not bad for me.

As long as it is not as bad as NYE 2007, I will be happy. NYE 2007 was insane.

I'm sorry to have to say it, but I think the wait times will be much longer than 30 minutes. You'll have to get to the parks at opening and really use the Fastpass system. Ya'll are going to have fun, afterall it's Disney, but you've got to be prepared for the heavy spring break/Easter crowds.

I agree with the previous comment that wait times will be much more than 30 minutes for the popular rides. Like 90 for the big ones like Soarin, and maybe even 120. Crowds will be at near New Years, I'd say. Not quite as crowded, but almost. Just be prepared!

I can deal with longer wait times. It was the swarms of people at NYE. You know you are in trouble when they have the bridge between England and France lined off with arrows pointing each direction. We lasted till about 6:00 at EPCOT. My wife and I decided to go back to the resort with the kids and wait for the New Year there.

We are also going at this time - 3-14-07 to 3-21-07 - for the kids spring break and to celebrate my graduating from Nursing school. We will be using fast pass. WE went over christmas on the last trip! It was fine. Make a plan and do things during off times. Example: ride hunder mountain railroad at MK during the fireworks! We did this on Christmas day and rode 6 times in a row with NO LINE!!!

You will have a great time!

:flower3:

This will be my first trip. What are some rides that I have to go on first before the crowd hits? I also don't really want to miss any of the fireworks or the parades.
