March 2006 Code Watch

Hi all ..

I saw titles for Jan/Feb Code Watch and then April/May code watch. We're going in March of 2006 and didn't see a thread for this timeframe yet.

I thought I'd start one so we can all keep each other updated.

I've already gotten a AAA rate for the Polynesian at a 10% discount but hoping to switch over when the AP rates come out. My fear is that my husband and I are going away together to Ireland for our 20th Anniversary and that the rates will come out while we're gone. *sigh!*

We're leaving on Oct 21st and coming back on the 28th ... so hopefully they won't happen during that time! (How bad is that? Worrying about my disney vacation while I'm supposed to be enjoying this time with my husband!?! <heehee!>

I'm going to religiously check this board each day so I can get the updates and certainly if I hear anything (I check Mousesavers.com every morning as well) .. I'll post it here for everyone!

Our dates are 3/25 - 4/8.
For the first 8 nights, it will be me, DW, our 4 kids(see sig), my mom, and my 14yr old sister. Then the last 6 nights will be without my mom and sister.
Currently we have ressies off-site for the first 8 nights and are planning on staying at POR for the last 6 nights.
But if we could get a decent discount, we'd like to upgrade the first portion to stay onsite at ASMo or Pop and we'd consider staying at a deluxe for part of the trip.

I too am anxiously awaiting March discounts. I have our 5 night stay at OKW (3/26 - 3/31) booked using our DVC points (Sunday - Thursday nights), but I want to do a cash stay at PC for Thursday - Saturday nights (3/23 - 3/26). I'm also waiting for SWA to open up their schedule into March so I can get our flights booked. All this waiting is driving me nuts !! I keep telling myself........"all good things come to those who wait".

Unless there are some good discounts, we'll be staying offsite in March 2006.

I would also like to know if there are any discounts for March. Probably staying again at Pop Century or Caribbean. Would really like to upgrade to one of the deluxe or DVC. Hoping to find something reasonable.

We are hoping that Dolphin opens up some discounts soon. We want to stay there the last week in March. I guess we'll just keep waiting!

we have resevations booked for Pop starting March 15 for about 12 days and now waiting to see what discounts we can get to either rebook or upgrade the hotel!
Also waiting for SWA too to open up for March too!

I am right with all of you, waiting for a code to open up, we have reservations at POR 3/7-3/12 and do have a AAA discount but still looking for a little more help with a code.

I booked 2 rooms at POR at the AAA rate of $148/night + tax. etc. Dates are 3/2 - 3/11. I'm hoping for the Teacher's Rate at S/D for all or part of that time, I'd go $169 per if I had to and I'd split between Swan and Dolphin as long as the swap is directly from one to another, not Swan-POR-Dolphin as it was this Jan. If that doesn't materialize, I'd welcome POR or another Mod for less or a WDW luxury resort for the same or a little more. Let the wheeling and dealing begin.

have any tried renting DVC points? $164.00 a night at POR seems like you could do better at DVC .I own DVC and when I don't have enough points I rent at the hotel for fri and sat and then move to the BWV for sun-thurs. just wondering

We'll need a 2 bedroom unit and if we went with DVC our only choice would be in the 'Epcot Cluster'. For the first week in March it appears that $500 per night is the going rate. Two rooms at POR would be $300 + tax, two at S/D at the Teacher's Rate a little more. DVC is out of my daughter and SIL's range.

I'd also like to know. We are staying at POFQ March 18-25. There are 7 of us. (3 rooms) I just got a package with dining so I can use a code!! The airfare is killing me!!! It was not a part of the package. Thanks!!

if you rent points from a DVC member a studio in a preferred view at BWV which is all they have right now is 14 points a night so @ $11.00 a point that's $154.00 a night if you got it for $10.00 a point that's only $140.00 a night you could stay at POR 1st and then stay at BWV it's more for a fri and sat

did you check with Disney travel?? I was able to get a GREAT rate thru them, even better than our no frills carrier to Sanford!!
