Trying to catch up with all the posts. Our computer died on Friday, so I am going through quickly at work before I need to clock in.

2little princesses DD10 will turn 11 on March 5. How are you doing keeping the surprise?

Papertraveller glad to hear you had a good trip to the world. Can't even imagine how crazy DTD would be on Halloween.

AbsyBaby, I'm not a facebook yet but maybe when we get the new computer I will join so I can join the facebook group.

Hi,

Not sure if you've noticed, but there's a thread on the main board about DCL introducing a Wave phone to staterooms - each regular room gets two, for no fee. This will sure simplify our plans. I was worried about not being able to let DD know where we are (and vice versa). I gather from the posts that there is a $250 fee if the phone is lost.

I showed it to DD, and she said "I will take my bag with me wherever I go."

Then she waited a beat, and came back to ask: "Does it have games and stuff on it too?"

Ah, the wired generation!

My girls would love this. Is there an age limit? But then they might want their own!?!

Does everyone have plans for Thanksgiving? We are having it here so I am trying to plan ahead since next week I am busy after work with Girl Scout Cookie mom meeting, dance, piano and dh out of town--yikes!

I also have my boxes ready for the scavenger hunt for Christmas. This will be how they find out about the cruise. I have one box with swim suits, one with fancy dresses, one with a sailor mickey and one with the dvd, countdown calendar, dcl pins, and cruise line booklet. Now to write the clues... They love scavenger hunts.

4 months from today vacation starts

I think that we will have to spend the extra money so both girls will have one. I was beginning to worry about dd11 going from cabin to the edge and back and forth alone. (or with the new friends she meets). This will make me feel a ton better.

2littleprincess are you the cookie mom for your troop? I was the neighborhood cookie chair last year. I was so glad when June finally came and I could give that job to someone else.

I am cooking this year for my brothers and my inlaws nothing to fancy. Casual dinner with football in the background.

Anybody thinking about fish extender gifts yet? I have a million ideas floating in my head. Just don't know if I will have time to finish what i want to do.

I have been mulling over a few FE ideas, and now that the Magic is back on her regular runs, I've been enjoying some of the Trip Reports people are writing about the Western itinerary.

We're still reviewing the excursion options, but haven't decided much. Does anyone know where the Magic docks in Key West? Is it central so we could just walk to the tour trolley?

Also, I think Absy Babsy and I both volunteered to compile the FE list. But Absy you were first to offer, so I'll let it be your choice!

Did we set a deadline for joining the FE group? Was it the 75-day mark? Later? I don't recall!

I can't believe the time is going by so quickly! Cruise time will be here before we know it. Our kids are soooo jealous that we are cruising without them. They are already planning "their" next cruise.

Hi everyone! Busy with Holiday stuff? It is busy here. Getting more excited for the cruise. Soon we will be able to book stuff. Not til Jan 6 since it is our first cruise. What is everyone booking? Palo? Excursions?

How is the FE coming along? We haven't bought our FE yet so I need to do that too. So much stuff!

We are crazy busy here with work and getting ready for Christmas. The girls are done with school until January which is nice, no worrying about homwork.

I have so many ideas for FE gift floating around in my head. I will probably wait and find out home many we have before I decide what I am doing. Planning on making our FE if I ever find the time.

Hi everyone. I have several PM's to get to. I have had a horrible few weeks. On November 20th, my father passed away after battling cancer for a year. He lives out of state and I was able to make it up there before he passed and stayed until after the funeral.

Over the last several months, I have been taking my daughter to doctors to try to get her foot healed. She has a foot issue and had just been put into a wheelchair before the funeral.

Upon return home, we were involved in a car accident. A girl texting did not stop at the light and the front of her vehicle ended up in the back of my new Honda Van. My mother, daughter and myself were injured and my van was a total loss. Everything in the back of the van was crushed. Thank goodness my daughter was in the center seat, not the back or she would have been seriously injured.

So even though I dropped into the boards a little, I could not bring myself to think of my upcoming cruise.

I am going to go through each message and add you to the facebook. I have found that I have to be friends with you before I can add you. If you want to go ahead and be-friend me just include on the friendship request that you want to be including on the 3/19 cruise. I think you can put in facebook.com/hamandayoung.

Hi Erin, thanks for the message. Finally got almost all of my shopping done. Abigail back in her wheelchair because she may have broken the toe on her other foot! CRAZY. Anyway we go back to the specialist tomorrow so will know more.

AbsyBabsy, I am so sorry for your loss. We've also just emerged from the passing of DH's mom two weeks ago -- everything is a blur.

I do hope that you're recovering from the terrible shock of that accident, and are able to find some quiet time to reflect and enjoy being with family.

Thank you papertraveller, I am sorry to hear about your DH mom's passing. You are right, everything is a blur.

My dad loved to cruise also and will come down and haunt me if I don't enjoy this family vacation, make new friends and live life big in his memory. When my sister passed, he held my hand and told me that life goes on and we have a responsibility to those that have passed to live a rich and happy life. He was a wonderful and happy man and I am so proud to be his daughter.

Hey Erin, had an appointment today and was referred to an orthopedic surgeon. He is also in one of the busiest in Florida. They are trying to get her in this week so they can get test done to figure out what to do so she can walk on her own without pain.

I am not sure how I feel about this path, however so far she has missed staring in two of her favorite shows (Annie and Beauty) because she is unable to dance. She is the understudy and will perform if able to. Poor thing, all she has wanted in the past couple of years is to be Annie in a large theater!

I am sure she will be doing karaoke during the week and may even join the talent show, if they still have it.

We sooooo need this vacation!

I managed to get a Palo brunch reservation -- Thursday at 10:30, a sea day. I went online early on the 90th day, and was very surprised to have a choice of days and times. I decided the night before that I wasn't going to be too worried if we didn't get in. But now that we are going, I am excited!

I hope we have as much luck. This is our first cruise, so I still have to wait to try for Palo brunch.

It still seems pretty quiet here. I just wanted to know, are we still doing FEs? I found something to buy, but didn't know if we were still doing it.

Maybe after the holidays things people will have time to talk about the trip.

Thinking of you today with your dad. Today would have been my parents 42nd wedding anniversary, but my dad died 7 years ago. He was such a sweet man and loved my kids. I get sad sometimes when they reach a milestone or do something fun because he isn't able to see it, but he lived a long time with a illness. So we are grateful he was able to meet them and enjoy them when he was here.

Maybe our dads are having a beer together in heaven.

Hope your daughter's foot heals soon!
