March 15-22, 2008 Eastern - Way-Way Early Check In

Liz - I'm no cruise expert by any means but I get paranoid - if I were you I'd call DCL to see where your documents are. :confused3 Couldn't hurt, right? Better safe than sorry.

Here's my marker board for our door that I made today! The circle in the mickey ears will change everyday ;-)

I have no idea where our room is but if you see this sign feel free to say hi!! :thumbsup2

Well, it's two weeks from today that we sail away. I still don't have my cruise documents. Should I worry? I figured that I could wait until Monday after the UPS comes but we get late deliveries. Should I call them now? What number do I use? Thanks for any help. I am getting nervous.

If you used a travel agent, remember to add at least a week or so onto the delivery time. If you didn't use an agent, it's probably time to call Disney.

We got ours on 2/29 (Friday). Our travel agent is in CA, so the documents have to go from FL to CA to VA - quite a commute for them! We filled out the documents on line, and are driving (no flights or Disney transportation), so the only thing we got in the package that we needed was the luggage tags.

Also, another question. If we have Luminere's for dinner on a night that isn't a formal night do we still need to have the men wear jackets and ties? That could possibly mean that if we have Luminere's first we would have it 3 times as well as the other two night. My husband won't like that idea. It gets confusing.

DH only wears a jacket/tie on formal, semi formal, and Palo nights. Other than that, he wears a collared shirt and pants.

We also got our documents on Friday. My TA (also from CA) e-mailed me to say she was sending them, and she sent them Priority Mail.

We received a packet. I've got a question. Do we have to fill out a Bahama's form(I think that's what it is called)? I filled out everything online but I do not recall this.:confused3

We are all so ready for some warm weather. This has been a particularly awful winter.

13 DAYS!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Lisa

I don't remember seeing a Bahamas form in my docs. I thought someone said that we don't need to fill this out anymore.

Hi - have not been real active posting but my DD Sarah is 12. Any others on the cruise? We're not coming in until Saturday morning so will not be at any of the meets until 3 PM Scoops. I know she'll be looking for someone her age to hook up with. I do give her check out/in privleges. Had no problems last summer and they were very good about letting me know where she was heading to when she left.

It is going to be a hectic 2 weeks before we get out of here but I'm REALLY looking forward to some warm weather :cheer2:

Sorry, had to ask, since I grew up in St. Louis - where did you go to high school? Just had to ask, for me it was St. Joseph's Academy.

Anyway, I'd call asap. I transferred our reservation to Costco and got our documents via UPS last week. Since we're using Southwest Airlines and not using the transfers, the main thing was the "tickets" (? my first cruise) and the luggage tags.

If you didn't grow up in St. Louis, sorry, you won't get the joke, but everyone who did always asks where you went to high school. I have no idea why, and I moved away when I got married 15 years ago.

Happymommy,
Yep, I did grow up here. I went to Incarnate Word Academy. Isn't it a funny thing about the high schools. I moved away for 30 years and am now back here. I love St. Louis.

I called Disney yesterday. They had my home address to send it but mailed it to Texas to the travel agent. I called her this morning and she didn't have a clue! She was in early and said when other depts. open up she would track it down and send it on. I do hope I see the documents before I have to leave.

We are supposed to get from 4-8 inches of snow following sleet today and tomorrow. Boy, am I looking forward to the Caribbean!!!!:cool1:

12 days til we leave!

12 days! YA HOOOOOO!!!!! I want to start packing now. Anyone else starting to get things together in suitcases?

:cheer2:  :rotfl:

I talked to my sister (in Chesterfield) and she said it was in the 70's yesterday and now snow is predicted. Yuck - I can't wait for nice weather!
Hope you get your documents soon.
I try to make it back once a summer to visit - we're in Maryland now. DH was in the military for one tour then we settled here.
Can't believe it's so soon for our cruise!

So I get up this morning and it is 10 degrees outside! This has been one of the longest winters in awhile. I can not wait for the sunny Carribean!

We started this weekend. I'm just about done DD10 & DD5 - that's the easy part! Now I've got to get myself together. :cool2:

It was 72 degrees here today. By Friday, the high is predicted to be 49 degrees. No wonder everyone is getting sick! DD10 & DH both have the flu. Well, at least they will get rid of it before the cruise!

I am at the point now where I am trying to pare down the amount of clothing we are taking. DD10's and DS13's clothes fit rather easily into a carryon. Mine and dh's - not so much:sad2: I haven't flown in a while so I am just a little paranoid about the luggage getting there with us.

We had a 70 degree day here with lots of wind bringing in heavy rain tonight.

Can you believe how close we are getting? :goodvibes

Hey Nancy, my husband has the flu also. That is exactly what I was thinking-get it now and not in 2 weeks!! Are you guys busy doing your packing AND getting Easter baskets ready for the day after we get back?? Paige:) :)

That's right - get it now, go to the doctor if you need to, and be ready for next Saturday!

Packing is in full swing. The bunny is also prepping the baskets - they'll be ready to go on Easter morning.

For those of you flying - How many suitcases/carry ons are you taking? I think we will have 4 carry ons and 1 medium sized suitcase. I am trying to pack lightly and I wonder if I'm doing okay.

The Easter bunny should be ready for us on Easter morning (he may be hopping a little slower!)

Wow - you're doing great! We're driving, so it doesn't matter how much we bring - we're just trying to control the tendency to pack the kitchen sink! :rotfl: We've got our big suitcase half way packed - and that's just stuff for DD5 & DD10. We're trying to keep it to two suitcases and one carry on size - because of drawer space/suitcase storage issues in the cabin.

The Easter bunny should be ready for us on Easter morning (he may be hopping a little slower!)

Yep - the furry one will be very slow around my house too! We'll probably get home around 10 or 11pm Saturday night. My plan is to transfer the kids to their bed and then let the bunny do his (quick) thing.
