March 15, 2015 MAGIC Cruise!! :)

Getting excited (and trying to hit 10 posts).. Any tips for improving my chances of an upgrade? Arrive early, arrive late? Can I check in alone, or do I need my whole family there?

If you do get an upgrade, don't forget to let me know and I will post it on our stateroom door!

I am glad there will be girls their age on board. Are any of you have later dinner? So I guess I should make sure my daughter goes to the Vibe the first night to hopefully meet up with people her age. Since she is an only child it is sometimes hard but maybe if she knows that there will be girls her age she will go the first night. Great talking to you all! I am sure you are all excited to escape the winter. I can't complain...we have only had 29 degrees twice. What have your kids done on the Casaway Cay?

We have late dinner. I prefer it as a change from our normal routines at home.

Oh my, I hate packing! Our house has exploded into piles everywhere! Clothes up from the basement, making ds try on everything, all the bits and pieces, and our washing machine is broken! So now we have laundry going to the laundromat too.
I think all the stress of packing makes the vacation sweeter - yup that's it!
How is it going for everyone else?

Our house has exploded too. Both of my DS moan and groan everytime I ask them to try on something. You would think they would be happy to help since we are going on a Disney Cruise, but no! Apparently it's torture. My husband just laughs as he is stepping over piles of laundry.

I have piles every where as well. My husband just doesn't get it. If left up to him he would throw a few shirts in a bag on the way out the door!
He might remember a fresh pair of underwear and socks. ;)

Our home is completely destroyed! It's amazing how much space everything takes up and yet it fits in the suitcases without a problem.

The packing is in full force at our house too. We have suitcases everywhere. Trying to decide what goes in each suitcase and what goes in the carry on bags can be entertaining. I've seen the same bag of FE items move between 3 suitcases and 2 carry on bags. Who knows where it will finally end up!

During our 3rd cruise I made a list of what to pack and stuck to it for #4. It worked perfectly, so I'll follow it again for this one. Like @kmcford's husband, I'll be putting mine together at the last minute - just run down the list, throw it in my suitcase, boom, done.

Deciding between carry on and suitcase is the worst. We are planning to eat and head to the pool, so swimsuits in carry on is a must. Our check in isn't until 1pm, but hoping we will be able to board earlier if we get there earlier.

LOL! DH's unite! It sounds so easy! I have a list too, but the organizing is what kills me. Figuring out what tops go with what bottoms and making sure they are in the same suitcase, in case one gets lost. Figuring out how to live out of carryons for the first 2 days of travel... makes my head swim, but it is nice being finished and knowing that it is well-organized.
It's also really nice to know that all over the continent, our fellow cruisers are busy packing away too! We are an excited group!

No need to coordinate when you keep all of your clothes within the same color palette. :teeth: Bland & boring? Perhaps, but definitely keeps things simple.

Oh the packing! DS is heading to Italy for his school March Break trip so we're double disorganized; tropical stuff for we 3 cruisers and Euro stuff for him; as well as fighting for the travel size toiletries...

Please don't let there be any work emergencies in the next 4 days!!!

Me too! There is a theme each time I pack, it all matches :) Plus we all have to match for the on-board pic...Mom's rules :)

My son and I were asking Siri about the weather for Key West and Port Canaveral. While it is nice weather finally here in Minnesota, the forecast is even nice for there!

@Bearybear my Dad is a HUGE Vikings fan and he's joining us this cruise, I will tell him there are some Minnesotans onboard, that will make his trip :)
