March 15, 2015 MAGIC Cruise!! :)

For the trolly in Key West, I have read a couple different things. If we book through the ship, it's once around and done. If we go in and book ourselves, the kids are free and we would have on/off privileges. I couldn't find any information about how far the walk would be from the port. Does anyone know?

We went on the Old town trolley, which was very close to the pier, just a block over. Old Town Trolley had a few designated stops which you can get on and off at.

Meredith,
Did you book trolley through cruise or are you getting off and doing it yourself?
Becky,
Sorry for the delayed response. I just got back tonight after being in Orlando for 4 days for my daughter's dance competition. It was at Universal. Quick turn around to fly back on Friday! But Disney this time :)

Anyway, I booked the trolley through a groupon. I did the walk to the Southermost Point with some friends on another cruise and it was not a bad walk but it did get warm. I thought the trolley woud be better and we get some information and more stops then walking all over.

Just a reminder to those in the second FE group, if you do not have 10 posts I cannot send you Nike4000's amazing document. Trust me, it's worth it!
Come on and add a few posts and I'll have it on the way to your inbox!

Hey Papertraveller! Where would I find this amazing document? I believe my ears are earned...

Well, the FE/pixie dust goodies, kids stuff, toiletries and medications are packed. Just DH and I to go…the piles and lists are key though! Not to mention all the travel organizing still to do…:snail:

Getting to sleep tonight will be impossible though, I hate trying to get back on track after time changes!
Thank you @kuhltiffany and @Mazdac, I'm planning to cover the latecomers group. I've taken over the dining table for my project, but it's fun to be working on our trip in some way

@papertraveller we have confirmed our cabins if you can please add our DD's to your pixie dust list she's 9 (5506). Thanks so much and we're packing the Canadian goodies for random FE drops :). Let me know if there are any requests (Coffee Crisps, Maple Cookies :) )
I'm happy with anything, but I bet my (ahem) daughter would enjoy the maple cookies :-)

Meredith,
Thanks..I actually just switched mine from the cruise tour that is an hour to the one where we can get on and off when we like.
Dance competition in Orlando! Fun! My daughter does dance as well but doesn't compete.

Nike4000 ... hey, let's promote him ... Nike 4,000,000! He gets all the credit!
Sorry I was late in posting. Crazy day today at work, which is usually to be expected right before a vacation is booked!

Most importantly, DD and I got the feet done tonight. So I'm channeling Zac Brown ...
Toes in the water, a** in the sand, not a worry in the world, a cold beer in my hand, life is good today ... life is good today!

First moment on the ship ... what are you going to do?

After booking princess/mixology/palo etc., it's off to Carioca's for us.

DD and I did our toes the other day too! Feels good! :)

My youngest was up all night last night with ear pain and has a horrible infection. Here's hoping it gets better and she can tolerate flying on Saturday! !!

When we board we are planning to pick up Anna/Elsa and princess gathering tickets before heading to lunch! ;)

This is the first cruise we're doing a meal at Palo, brunch. What's the dress code for brunch? Am I okay in slacks and a polo? Do I need to throw in a dress shirt for brunch?

What about DW? Is a casual dress and flats okay? Capri's and a polo? Skirt and blouse? Thanks in advance for your help!

This is totally throwing off my well planned pack list! :headache:

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty guys can wear business casual to palo brunches. As for the DW, a sundress or something similar, with nice sandals or shoes.

I'm hoping we can get a palo brunch reservation when we get on the ship. By the time we booked they were all sold out :(

For Palo brunch, I wear nice capris, blouse and sandals, but a sundress would be lovely too. Dh wears a dress shirt and slacks, no tie, but a polo would be fine as well. Brunch is lovely!

Now making our almost last minute to do list - clean out cat litter, take out garbage, clean out fridge... Never any fun.

First up on the ship will be Guest Services for Palo's brunch and whiskey tasting for DH. Then pinch ourselves to be back on the Magic all the way to Carioca's for lunch in the sun!

Safe travels everyone!

MadZac, I hope your little one responds to the medication and is soon on the mend!

For your Palo brunch it just says not to wear flip flops and tennis shoes. So any other dressier flat sandal is ok?

So....I'm a bit late joining in. i'm not much of a poster, more of a lurker/reader. I visited this thread in January right before the first FE deadline and was disappointed because I knew we wouldn't book in time to make the FE. I never considered that would be a late list (good to know for next time). Today I was a little frantic thinking that we are only a few days out -- I'm such a planner booking only 3 weeks out is not good for my stress level. So I thought if I checked out the thread there might be others feeling the same. So nice to know I'm not the only one not packed.
Since I thought we couldn't join a FE group, I decided to do one for my kids on my own. I noticed that there are several rooms that at least by number appear to be close to ours (6037) so I wanted to make sure that my random FE didn't throw anyone off when there were delivering -- we don't want to end up with any gifts meant for other families.
Then driving home, I remembered that I have some Baymax (sp?) pillows that need a good home. My Mom made a bunch for my daughters birthday party last week and we didn't have as many kids as we thought. I was hating to leave them sitting in the closet. I have 4 stuffed and 8 flat. So if you have a Big Hero 6 fan in your group let me know. Fingers crossed that the number I have match up with requests.
