Just returning to the United States after a wonderful time at DLP!!

Here are the highs:
The weather was UNBELIEVABLE - so nice and sunny and warm - could not have asked for better.
Hotel NY - great location, room huge.
Disneyland Park - beautiful in every way - castle amazing. Best looking park of all the Disneys
Very little queues - did not need fast pass for anything. Went on almost every ride in 2 days
Shows - Animagique and Cinemagique were amazing!

Lows:
Cast members - overall not very friendly - and very few available in the park
Closure of the park so early 18:00 for Hollywood, 19:00 for Disneyland - way too early - caused massive crowds in the Village.
NO FOOD - this was a major negative - so many restaurants closed - Agrabah, Annete's Toad Hall, Blockbuster Cafe - made it very hard to find a place to eat without a 90 minute wait at least - very frustrating to have so many places to eat closed.
Lack of characters in the park for greetings - and no cast members around those present to manage the crowds.
Parts of rides broken down - including Tower of Terror, Tram Ride, Phantom Manor all had minor prats malfunctioning on them.

Overall seems like a lot of negatives, but that is being nit-picky - we really loved DLP!! It was the most beautiful of all the Disney parks we have seen so far.

So happy and honored to have seem it while in France. Hope to be back in the future.

Great to here you had such a lovely time :goodvibes

I share your frustration with the early closing hours and number of restaurants being closed outside of high season.

Welcome back, pleased you enjoyed most of your trip. Its a shame you weren't going later in the year as they are extending the opening hours of at least the main park for the 20th anniversary

The food thing drive me nuts too but when I complained about it people were all over me. None of the park restaurants seemed to serve dinner then when both of the parks close at the same time everyone either rushes to the village or back to the resorts so the all of the restaurants have huge lines. We usually ended up at the Annette's walk up window because it was the only place without a huge line. That really drove me nuts. With the extended hours for the 20th anniversary are they going to serve dinner in the parks?

Glad you enjoyed your trip:goodvibes

Sounds like you had a good trip overall. Lucky having good weather too :thumbsup2
