March 14, '10 "Wonder"ful cruise!!

Hey Everyone,

I know I am very late in the game. I am wondering if it is too late to participate in the FE gift exchange. I have 2 girls 7 and 10. This trip will be the 7 yr old's birthday.

Can someone let me know?

I just discovered the board and FEs

It's our first cruise

WELCOME! Hope you're able to join us at 3:00pm, Sunday on the promenade deck for a mini meet and greet! Look forward to meeting y ou and your crew!
I have a daughter that is 6 1/2 and it is her first cruise - maybe they'll enjoy each others company!?!

As far as the FE exchange goes, I'm sorry, but the exchange has been closed. I really wish you could have participated, but it takes some time to get together all of the gifts and get them packed. Many have planned for a specific amount of people, so to add to that would be diffiicult. I'm so sorry!

Look forward to meeting you!

OK, thanks for replying. We have never done a Disney Cruise and didn't know about until the other day. I quickly made a FE. Maybe we can use it another time.

Thanks for letting me know!

Docotormom, I know how you feel....I was so excited to find this thread! I had already packed some extra kids' FE's just in case (I like to over pack :-)) What is your cabin number so I can leave your girls some goodies.

Port - Sunny 71

Bahamas - Partly Sunny 80

Castaway Cay - Partly Sunny 73

Looks great!! So excited
We leave on our flight tomorrow:cool1:
I cannot believe after all this time it is finally almost here.
Tonight's mission is to try and get some sleep and to charge all the electronic devices my family seems to need to get there:rolleyes1
Oh and catch up on:laundy:
The kids at school are off the wall excited about their week off too.:dance3:

I am so glad the weather is looking up! When does everyone leave?
Louiepipbgeeco, we leave tomorrow too! We have a late flight out of Texas and will be staying at the MCO Hyatt for that first night.

I have been running around all day! I have one suitcase packed. It's weighing in at 47 pounds. That's the biggest one, so now I can really stuff the smaller ones with stuff.
I have to say this FE thing is saving me. I know I will be getting rid of that stuff, so I will have room, to bring home, the treasures that we find.

I told my girls, that they need to be done packing before they go to sleep tonight. I don't want them coming home from school, and starting then. I know that will bring drama and complaining that they can't find this or this needs to be washed, and I am not going to get stressed out hours before we leave. I'm sure I will be doing that fine on my own.

I believe it's going to be a tylenol PM night.

I am wondering about the seasickness thing again...no one in my family has had motion sickness But, don't want to risk it.
Should I give the kids something Sunday morning ?? or wait until later??
The boat does not actually leave until 5pm right???
So, it takes about 30 min for the stuff to get in your system accord. to the pharmacist. I had to buy the Canadian version of what we had --gravol, no Bonine in Canada. May look for it when I get to the US.
Am I just being paranoid??

My pharmacist told me that we should start taking it a few days before we sail. I plan for everyone to start taking it tomorrow night. I just don't want to risk anything! We also have the arm bands that we'll begin wearing Sunday morning.

It's been a CRAZY day! I've packed, and repacked so much I can't even begin to figure out what I'm doing! Just when I think I've got it sorted out, I realize I've forgotten something! UGH!

We leave home tomorrow. Our actual flight leaves Saturday.

I wouldn't stress about it. If no one gets sick normally, chances are you will be fine, but if you are going to take something I would start tomorrow night. I heard and read to start taking it the night before, and to take it at night, just in case it makes you a little sleepy.

I am doing the same. Packing, taking out, putting back in, then trying to remember if I have those 4 pairs of shorts or just 3. Having to remember dress socks for everyone. You know, those little things you just don't think about until you are getting dressed and realize you don't have them.

Don't forget to set your clocks ahead 1 hour, Saturday night! We will be able to get onboard an hour earlier, YEAH!
That is if everyone remembers on board to set their clocks and are not late in getting off.

Thanks for the reminder about the clocks. I would have completely forgotten!!
