SPH room is a Secret Porthole room. It is a CAT 10 with two small windows on Deck 5. They are obstructed views, but they are views just the same!!
I think there are only 6 of those rooms and all on deck 5

Hi everyone.
Just thought I would check the meet thread.
I was sooo excited to see the list (we are on) Feels surreal!!
I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am for this trip.
I noticed some other Canucks from Ontario on the list. Can tell it is our spring break!!! School has only been in for a month and I already feel stressed and burnt out! Why can't Disney be closer??LOL
I have never cruised before--Disney is the only option IMHO. All things Disney appeal and I am sure I will not be disappointed.
I am curious about the Adult activities--do they have many on the ship that are "organized" In other words, galley tour, ship tour, speakers, etc. I know about the Adult pool and deck and the clubs. Are there comedians for adults? Live music? I am so psyched about actually "going out" with hubby a few nights. I can only imagine the "freedom" I know my kids are going to LOVE the clubs. DD is very outgoing and keen on activities. DS loves to go to nursery school and K. He is very accustomed to the sort of setting of the kids club and LOVES Mickey. I am soooo EXCITED!! I plan on making door magnets and doing the photo mat character signing (I hope) What a wonderful keepsake. I have been saving coins in a decorated bank with Disney stuff-- It says our Disney cruise...etc. I am using one that counts the money digitally. I am having fun with that. I plan to use this for little "extras" like souvenirs or shore excursions.
I am enjoying reading these posts and look forward to anticipating with all of you.

I don't know about the adult activites on the Wonder. I have only sailed on the Magic. I am wondering what the differences are. On the Magic we had late night adult shows that were great. Early shows for the family at 7:30. My kids loved those.

I loved the adult area pool. Great chairs for reading books. I also loved sitting on Deck 10 by the family pool and watching the movies that were playing on the big screen.

The freedom for us was wonderful. It is so nice to walk around the decks in the night air and just be together. Slipping off to get a snack while on your romantic walk!!!! It just doesn't get any better. Oh yes, I forgot...it does get better, we went to the spa without the kids and enjoyed the rain forest room....that was AMAZING!!!

Sounds heavenly.
Don't get me wrong.... I like spending family time too. I plan on having fun WITH my kids too. But, I am also hoping for adult time. And I realize they will want to be with other kids and doing the activities geared for them.
My daughter is lucky that our friends going have a daughter she chums with. So they will have each other and the new friends they meet.
Cannot wait!! I have a performance appraisal this year at work... so I will need to relax for sure.(although I am not too worried. I know I am doing my job and I have an awesome principal to work for:thumbs up2)
Is anyone else making door magnets?? I have to look for the magnet printer paper. I think Staples sells this. But, It is expensive.

Welcome Louiepipbgecco! First cruise, hu? You are going to LOVE it! I love cruising because you get to see all these islands and then you can figure out which ones you would like to go back to. That's how we fell in love with St. Martin. We went there on a cruise and have been back there, twice, for a weeks vacation.

Hope, how did she do at the meet? How are her knees? It sounded very wet & muddy

Who's coming in the day before? Where is everyone staying the night before the cruise?

I love St. Martin!!! We cruised there last November on Carnival Glory and then in March on the Magic! It is such a great place. I would love to go back and just stay there forever.

DDs knees are not any better. She only has 19 more days left in the season. She is going to make it through that and then not do any running until XC starts again in June. Hopefully they will heal in that amount of time. I really think it has something to do with the medicine she is taking. It is a strong medicine with a lot of bad side effects. But it is something she has to take for five months to get rid of her acne. She started it September 1 and her knees got worse. We go to the dermatologist tomorrow and I am going to ask her about the side effects.

Fall is definately in the air here. It is in the 50's this morning and the high in the low 70's!! This is my favorite time of year.

Did you have the famous Guavaberry Coladas while you where there? They are the greatest! I brought my magic bullet on a cruise that I took with my sister and made them for everyone that came to our cabin crawl. We will be going back there in September, 2010! I can't wait.
Are you stopping there on your carnival cruise?

Isn't that terrible if it was the meds. that were causing this? You try to fix one thing and you mess up something else. I guess that would be a good thing if it was the meds. because then you would know that she will feel better in February and be ready for XC next season.

In November we will be cruising to Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Belize & Roatan.
Four ports, two sea days. Hopefully it will be fun.

I made an appointment for her to see her orthopedic doctor on Tuesday @ 2.
She came home last night and said, I just can't do it anymore it hurts too bad. So, we are going to get another opinion and make sure there is not anything else going on!

That poor thing! You are such a good mom to get another opinion. It sounds like this is her life and for her to say that she just can't do it anymore, it must hurt A LOT!!
My daughter has a dermatologist today. This doctor takes a new approach to the acne. She uses vitamins and microdermabrasion treatments first, and then if that doesn't work, she goes more aggressive. She has been lucky that it is working wonderful for her. She told me the vitamins she recommends for aging. I started them, so hopefully I will look more youthful. We'll see, I figure it can't hurt.

Have to make the second round of kid pick up!

my dd has been seeing a dermatologist for 2 + years for her acne. It just wasn't getting any better so this medicine that she is on is a last resort medicine. She has to take it for 5 month and that is all.

I have excursions planned for our Nov. cruise. We are taking a jet boat in Cozumel, in Belize we are going to see the Ruins, Grand Cayman we are doing tour through a private Co. (forgot the name). Roatan I think we will get off the ship and find Victor Boden and take one of his tours for $25 each.

The weather is starting to get cooler. I am so happy I love cooler weather.

I know for sure that we aren't doing any excursion on the Wonder. We are just going to shop in the straw market and return to the ship. On Castaway Cay we will let the girls do the teen excursion if they want. But we will have out bottoms planted firmly on a hammock!!! I wish the Castaway Cay expensions would be completed when we get there! It would have been nice to see the changes.

Well, off to pick up DD from XC. I told her to run as hard as she can at this Saturday's meet because it might be her last for the season

Well, looks like Thankfully !! My 2 boys are recovering from the tested positive for the Flu Type A ( unofficial but the doc said most likely a 99% sure it is swine flu) !! One went back to school today and we will see and I think my other will go back in the morning.

I sure hope none of you all get this!! or your loved ones!!

And Hey we are in a SPH room for this trip!!

We are arriving on the Friday night. I am flying out of Detroit(always do). I have to leave work a bit earlier . Staying near MCO Friday night, Sat. picking up a rental car and driving to Cocoa Beach. Staying the night before the cruise in a condo on the water.

We are flying from Detroit this year, but we are not leaving till Saturday morning, will stay at the Fairfield Inn Friday night and then Saturday we will stay at the Radisson in Cape Canaveral. I have not really given this cruise much thought but I guess it will be coming up before you know it.

MK - how come we never ran into each other over spring break? that is cool that we cruised together, wish we would have met!

We are driving down Friday and staying in Orlando. Then on Saturday we are going to spend the day at SeaWorld. I would rather spend the day at Disney, but DH wants the girls to go to Sea World again!

Wow, you have lots planned for that cruise. You are going to have so much fun!

I will be in a hammock right next to you on Castaway Cay. I know the kids will be off doing something. I am going to let them pick one thing to do. I know I wish Castaway Cay will be done when we are there too, but it does sound like they will have the slide up and running.

We will be leaving Friday too. We are staying at the airport Hyatt that night. What's in cocoa beach? How far is it away from the terminal? A condo on the water sounds nice. We are thinking about the Radisson, but don't know for sure.

So glad to hear that they are getting better. It is too scary that healthy kids are dying from this flu. We had two on the news, yesterday, here in Texas that died.
