On a more serious note...
For those so inclined..please send prayers or pixie dust to my little kindergarten son. He slipped on the ice in our driveway about an hour ago and fell hard on his head on the concrete.

He's laying here next to me with an ice pack watching Backyardigans. Small gash on his forehead and a lot of swelling. We are watching him for closed head injury symptoms. Think he is okay but still a "bit out of it."

Hubby has medical background and so far we don't think an icy trip to the ER is going to be warranted. THanks.

Kansas City has been declared a State of Emergency. Everything is closed; Airport, business', Shopping Mall's even Mc Donalds. Kids are already out of school for 2 days, 50 MPH Wind and snow drifts 3 ft. in some places. It will be done tomorrow morning. I hope no one has been seriously hurt in all this. I just cannot believe Mike's work expected him to come in today.

I can really use some sun and relaxation!

I feel your pain! Your not too far from us here in Olathe! We have about 12 inches on the ground and drifts that are crazy! I am medical and we worked today and getting home was interesting. I have never felt like the snow plow in my little van! We are hunkered in with everyone home and the snow is still coming down here! Looks like I have time in the next 24 hours to start the packing process cuz the warm sun, beaches, and a fruity drink in my hand is what I am dreaming about! Keep warm and hoping Mike got home safely for you!

Remember, the pumps at the gas stations work off of electricity. No power, no gas.

Make sure you have at least 1/2 of a tank at all times.

Funny how things work. My wife flew to Mexico this past weekend. She went through Dallas on Thursday, and connected through Houston yesterday. And now everything is closed. Wow.

I feel so bad for those people stranded.... Especially with kids. Especially trying to get to their cruise!

Flying out out of Buffalo, NY always makes me nervous for cancellations.
Let's hope 5 weeks from now things will have calmed down.....no new storms.

Good news. He seems to be back 100% to his normal self. We were worried as he wasn't himself and it was swelling and swelling and swelling. But I think the only effect is going to be a slight bruise and cut and some swelling. Yeah. Not happy it happened but could have been worse.

All of you out there facing these storms...BE CAREFUL...whether driving or walking. Be safe guys. They said on the news that tonight was going to be the coldest night in 15 years (in my area.)

So ready for some warm days in the MR with a fruity drink in my hand.

Disney changed the check in portion of the website.

Make sure to check out your forms again if you already printed them. click the edit button to see the site.
They give you a choice of port times ( in LA). The print out now has a scannable sheet that you bring to the port.

Yep......ours were too. You have to click edit and go back in to fill them out again. Then the port time unlocks.
