March 13-17/05 Wonder

We are on that cruise!!! I will be travelling with DH, DD (13yrs old) and DS (11yrs old). We are first time cruisers and are very much looking forward to getting the kids involved in the clubs!!! :cool1:

DH and I will be there-1st time cruisers too! Should be an exciting time.
See you there!

We''ll be there! DH, DS18, DD12, DD10, DS6 and the inlaws!! 11 of us in all - My neices (DNc?) are 14, and 10. We are so excited, first time cruisers, then we get to spend 4 days at DisneyWorld in the Beach Club Resort YAY!!! It's getting SO CLOSE!!!

Doin the double digit dance... finally!!! :cool1: :cool1:

We are also first time cruisers-spending 3 days before at BC then cruising, then back to BC for another 3 days-looks like our itineraries are about the same! How are you travelling from port to resort?

We will be spending 2 days at HRH and US then to the airport again to catch the Disney Shuttle to the port. Then 4 "wonder"ful days on board, and to the BC for 4 days. I believe we are taking a Disney shuttle from the port to the BC as well. The details are a bit hazy for me :confused3 MIL and the travel agent are working out stuff like that. I've never been on a vacation like this before - I am SOOO psyched!! :cool1: I already have a couple of suitcases full of stuff ready to go - how weird is that???

How are you traveling from port to resort? I've read about the limo thing - how swanky!! But with 11 of us, that would have to be one big car!! :crowded:

We're easy since it's only two of us! Towncar from Airport to Resort, DCL transportation to and from port.
Don't worry, I already have my important stuff ready to go too!

My dw and I, plus her parents will be there. This is our third cruise and my inlaws second. (first one was also with us). Then 4 nights at ASMO. Should be a great time! All you first timers will LOVE it!

Hey gimpsta,
looks like we'll have at least two Maineiac families on this cruise!

Another ? - Which dinner seating have you requested? Any particular reason?

dcandmc, how very cool!

What part of maine are you from, if you don't mind me asking? We are "central maine" about 30 miles south of augusta and 30 miles north of portland.

Our honeymoon cruise, my dw and I took the later seating. We are both young, but had hoped to avoid the chaos we thought familes with even younger children may cause. Kind of shortsighted of me I guess because we had the main seating on the 2nd cruise and found it to be more peaceful, granted this could be a limited experience, but who knows! We asked for main seating this time (honestly it didn't matter to me this time, but the in laws liked eating earlier) but we received the second seating.

Hope my rambling is intelligible enough to understand! lol

We also have asked (and are waitlisted for) the early seating but have so far been assigned the later one. We prefer to eat earlier in the evening rather than going to bed on a full tummy.
Our TA told us the early fills up quicker and most adult only parties are assigned the later seating.

gimpsta: Brunswick, sounds like fairly close to you.

We have early seating, but may change to late so that we're not rushed to finish up afternoon activities and get ready for dinner.

Yeah not to far away, what a small world! We live in auburn. Originally from Livermore Falls (I'd be suprised if you know where that is!)

Yeah that was definately one thing I enjoyed about having the later seating, but I certainly did not feel rushed during our first seating last trip. But we were out of port by 5:00 at the latest on port days so that is probably why.

Well maybe we'll run into each other on our trip! If not, I hope you enjoy your first cruise!

We're in the late seating. I think the reason is to be able to do more things in the afternoon, and not be rushed to get to back to the dining area. I hope DS6 will be able to stay awake!!

Anyone that has been to Nassau before have any recomandations for good shore excursions to do? My DW and I did the atlantis tour on our honeymoon trip and were impressed, but don't think the inlaws would be up for all the walking.

What do you think the weather will be like? Swimming in March? :earseek: Are y'all bringing jackets or swimsuits?

Good question-I'd be interested myself.

We're from the great white north-I'll be bringing it all!

swimsuits absolutely. Most of those areas are 85-95degrees year round!

It'll be cooler in florida, but not jacket weather, certainly not by great white north standards!!!
