We too have booked our transfers with DCL and are staying at the Hyatt. I had figured I would be able to pick up some beer, wine at the airport or simply in Key West. Does anyone know what Disney's corking fee is? Is it worth purchasing your own wine or should be simply get the wine plan? If you bring beer can you take these around the ship or must you drink in your cabin (which I can't imagine we will spend much time)? Last year we were at Disney for March break and my husband and I didn't even touch the beer we had purchased because we were so tired after a day at the parks so I am not sure how important these questions are. I can imagine having a glass of wine at dinner and possibly a drink in the afternoon - although the wine and beer tastings sound good.
I read somewhere on the boards that Disney changed their boarding policy - guests no longer board first come but instead they read out room numbers and guests board accordingly - has anyone else heard of this? If so, I am not sure that I care how early I arrive - I would hate to get their early only to have to wait while others board. I am also wondering how they determine who boards the buses upon departure - we have a 12:45 plane and want to board an early bus back to the airport - if this will be hard to arrange then I might consider cancelling the DCL transfers - although I would rather not have to deal with someone else and I know the kids will be more excited boarding a DCL bus with other kids for the drive to the port - also we won't have booster seats for a car.
I too am not planning to dress up much - on formal night my husband will wear a tie and jacket for formal night, my son a button down (and maybe a tie if I can convince him and believe me convincing will be required), my daughter and I will wear dresses - every other night will be fairly low key.
My daughter is sooo excited for the princesses - she received Disney princess nailpolish and lip gloss at Christmas and refuese to use them because she wants to give each princess the lip gloss and nailpolish with their picture on it. I want to make pillowcases for the kids and have them signed. We made a calendar yesterday counting down the days until the cruise and my kids cross off each day - it is closer than I thought!
