March 1-5, 2009 Wonder Cruise

Hi. We're coming, too! We have three boys: 11, 8, and two. Any other kids on the boat?

Welcome! Several of us have kids! on one of the pages (sorry I dont know which) Poppygirl has a list of people coming and their kids ages. Me my dh and our son are going and he is 8 also! My son is going to be thrilled to see so many other boys coming!

Ok i looked through and found the list page 3 post # 42!

Thanks everyone for the support with the school thing. If I knew I had the patience to homeschool I would do it in a heartbeat. I'm going to type up some letters today to the teachers to let them know.

We're also going to tell the kids this weekend. DD 8 knows we are going to disney world again but she still hasn't figured out that we are taking the cruise too. I've drop so many hints and talked with my friend about it and still he hasn't cought on:rotfl: .

Isn't funny somethings we have to practically spell out for them and then others when we are using our BEST code talk they are like "what so and so is pregnant and blah blah blah" and Im like SHUT IT KID!!! You werent supposed to figure that out!! I think my son plays dumb sometimes to mess with me!

Everyone has such fun excursions planned! I am reading through all of them and second guessing my own plans.

We are going to spend the day at Atlantis on Nassau, but we have no plans for our day at Castaway Cay. Since we will be there without our kids, we will probably spend some time relaxing over on Serenity Bay. I see a nap in a hammock in my near future! :cool1: I also gave my DH (and myself) snorkel sets for Christmas, so we are excited to try those out!

I also have a new fancy digital camera that is waterproof. It takes great pictures on land, but it seems so wrong to put a camera in water. Hopefully it works because I would love to get a picture of sunken Minnie! :)

Hi all, thought I would make our presence known now. I have to wait or my OPD (obsessive planning disorder) kicks in.

DW and I will be in 6630 celebrating our 10 yr anniversary. This will be our first trip w/o our DS (7) for two years, so we are even more excited!

Open to any meet or gatherings, so give the run down.

Shanian and Betsy

Welcome Connor Dad!! And congrats on 10 years!!! :cheer2:

My DH and I are also leaving our kids at home and celebrating our 10 year anniversary! I am so anxious about leaving the kids with grandma, but I know they will be fine.

It is nice to have you join our group!

I really want to do some adult night stuff! Any takers on this?
QUOTE]

Well, I usually don't make it past 12:30am or so these days (I can't believe I am admitting this... I AM GETTING NOT OLD, I AM NOT GETTING OLD...), but I definately want to try to get to the 70s party, the Wonderquest scavenger hunt, and the Icebreaker social. They all seem to be after 10pm on the previous Navigators. Those are on my official 'wish list' of activities. (Yet another list.) :earboy2:

I attended the cooking demonstration and the galley tour in 2006 and definately enjoyed those activities. They were short, but we were able to taste samples of food at both... not that I need that. popcorn::

Hi Everyone,

Having "done Atlantis" last year on this trip, this year we are just doing the glass bottom boat tour at 10:45am (Nassau) and then just walking around and going back to the ship to relax that day.

At CC we are snorkeling again (awesome fun--wouldn't miss it!) and then hopefully my DH and DD12 will be parasailing....DH hasn't agreed to that yet and hopefully when he DOES come around, there will still be an opening for them.

My DS15 is not as adventurous as his sister--she wants to swim with dolphins, sea lions, and stingray and he doesn't want to have anything to do with them--but I want to try and keep everyone together. Is that wrong?

Haven't started packing yet, but hopefully will get lots accomplished in that department this afternoon. We fly out of the Twin Cities 1 week from tomorrow!!! :yay:  :yay:

As far as everything else, you guys do seem like a fun bunch! I can't wait to all meet we are going to have fun!

I am going to pack everyone today, stuck home during another snow storm here in Maine. It's a good thing though my bank account can't take much more, hehe!:rotfl:

Ooooh count me and Dh in (as long as ds will go to the kids club) I wanna feel like a grown up on this vacation!

Did you get an Olympus, we got one too! I ran it under the faucet and it still works! Have no fear! Also, my brother in law used his in Hawaii with no problems!

Ya, I am hoping Collin does well, it is hard with his Autism but I just have to constantly remind him to have "safe hands" If everthing goes well I think we should be partying it up, weeeeeeee:rotfl: :rotfl:

Welcome Connor' Dad and afilliben! I'll add you both to our cruise list. (and I think I'll post it again just so we don't have to keep going back so far to find it)

The DISmeet for the cruise will take place on Sunday on Deck 10 just prior to the sail away party. runskyhy created some GREAT tags--the updated ones are posted around post #268. We are using the green one for our DISmeet.

Connor' Dad...sounds like you've been on this cruise before???

Im in Galesburg which is 45 miles north of Peoria. The weather guy just said several accumulative inches. :guilty:

ShawnaH...ever heard of Havana, IL? That's where I'm originally from!

Ok everyone. The updated list is on p.11, post #154. Enjoy!
