March 1-5, 2009 Wonder Cruise

Yes sir! Im addicted. I spend hours just reading trip reports and our passporters book, and ANYTHING i can get my hands or keyboard on! Its is our first cruise also and half of the fun is planning and anticipation!

I think my son will be fine with it IF he makes a friend or two. He's not big on crowds and he's a little shy, but once he makes a friend, he's good to go. I haven't heard of ANY kids who didn't like the clubs. Have you?

Honestly no. But Im worried because for some reason my son was born programed to make sure he never acts too silly or in a way that someone may be able to tease him. im afraid he will not "let loose" and have fun because he is worried. He worries about everything, and I mean EVERYTHING! I dont understand it, maybe it comes from being an only child for 8 years and being with his boring (or embarassing) parents too much!:cool1:

Poppygirl - my girls are 5 year old twins too! My son is 2, we're hopping he'll be potty trained by the cruise since he'll be within the 1 month time frame to move up to the 3-7 year old club!

Ya, I am replying to my own thread...

One of the reasons that I started the thread is that my DH just told me that he really wants to go to Atlantis and do the waterpark stuff. :cool1:

I checked the comfort suites rates and it still seems really high. I am hoping that the price will come down so it will fit into our "cruise budget".

Anyway, if we went this route, we would love to split the cost of the Comfort Suites room with two other people. From what I understand, you get 4 Atlantis wrist bands per room booked. If we could split the cost 4 ways instead of just 2 ways, it would fit into our budget much better.:dance3:

Any takers??? :rolleyes1
Hi SAS_MK

Did you ever find anyone who wanted to split CS for the Atlantis access with you?

I just purchased this cruise for my DS (7) and I - we are so excited!

Hi!

My husband and I will be on the wonder on March 1st. This will be our first cruise. We are counting down the days :-)

Same here. My passporters book is on the way but when it gets here, I assume my nose will be buried in it for a while.

If I could butt into your guy's conversation for a minute ;) my DD is 8 as well. Ironically, her name is Nicole (we call her Nikki or Nick) and although she does like to have a good time, she too is pretty shy at the start and a bag of nerves to boot. She seems to worry about everything. I think she will be on nerve pills by the time she's 12

Maybe our kids will bump into each other in the kids club, sense each others nervousness with some kind of kid superpowers and form some kind of Disney Kid's Club super group or something. That way we could all enjoy a little alone time with our significant others.

Anyway, I just wanted to share that. I thought it was kinda funny.

Hey all I would love to join your tread. I just currently got off the Disney magic eastern 7 day and fell inlove. With me will be myself (Tara) im a single mom so I am brinhing my monther Debbie (this is er 6th disney cruise, my dd princess: Kennedy 11 and my ds pirate: pirate: Gatlin 2:cheer2: :cheer2:

Hello again everyone.....sorry for the horrid typing last night. I was so exhaused. I just got back from my 7 days on the Magic this past saturday and rebooked for March 1st....did any or all of you get the come back for 99.00 deal? And have you choose your dates? We were thinking Sept 30th for my sons birthday. It would be nice if we all get along to again take our second trips together. On this last cruise (which was my first) I met so many great people from on here and would like to meet more.

That is so funny! Kids can do that ya know! I think I will have a better feel of what he thinks after the big reveal Christmas day:woohoo: , and really get to talk to him about the kids clubs and all. Then I should be able to see how hard its gonna be to get him to try it!

PippyLatte,

I haven't found anybody to split the hotel with. I did book a room and would love to add you and your son to the reservation if you are still interested. Let me know and we can take it off the boards to make the arrangements.

Thanks!!!

Hey everybody!!

We are at 75 days out now!! I didn't think this day would ever come way back when I booked this cruise!

I am so excited that I was able to book everything that I wanted online last night. It is such a relief to know that I can now relax when I embark and not worry about rushing to make Palo reservations or spa reservations. :thumbsup2

Now, the countdown continues . . . :yay: :yay: :yay:

I have several countdowns to keep me sane, first up 9 days till we get to tell DS about the trip!

Just wanted to share some of our excitement.

My 1st grader was assigned a story to write about his family - my favorite line:

"My mommy is the best. She is taking me on a Disney Cruise"

PippyLatte--first, I LOVE your name! How did you come up with it? And second--that's great! Disney mommies are the best!

Thanks PoppyGirl - the username actually came from my husband going looney after repeated episodes of Dora the Explorer. In this particular episode that my son LOVED when he was 2 or 3 Dora went to visit her Grandmother who sang a song about a cake that contained the word chocolate pronounced "Choc-o-la-tay" - DH has called me Pip or Pippy since college and after about a week of this Dora episode played around the clock he made up an off-color song about Dora and he inserted "Pippy-la-tay" into the song and it stuck!

BTW, I love the name Poppy! - it was threatened to be the name of my son if he were born a girl, many times!
