Marceline Tour

Hi All,

I really wanted to try the KTTK tour on our trip in October. Will just be hubby and I. I don't think he's gung ho on spending another $160 dollars and dedicating 5 hours to the tour.

Thinking the Marceline Tour might be a better option as its only 3 hours and half the price. Hopefully he loves it and will want to do KTTK in the future. Can anyone provide any recent feedback, and how about my thoughts on it being a "gateway" tour, LOL.

We really enjoyed it! A nice mix of history with a little bit of behind the scenes!

Not intending to be the wet blanket here, but I did the Marceline tour in late 2014 and ended up feeling it had been a waste of my time. Not much backstage at all. A lot of walking around in the public areas and listening to stories. If I had it to do over, I'd skip it. I enjoyed the Magic of Our Steam Trains tour more, as it was something specialized and different.

I loved the Marceline tour when we did it in 2014. Maybe it depends on who your guide is. I loved hearing all about Walt and the stories about his life and how it influenced the Magic Kingdom. We really had a great time!

I would have been interested in more backstage time... I could read the stories at home. YMMV.

I did this tour in November 2015 and the guide took us backstage to the ballroom level at the Haunted Mansion to see the "Pepper's Ghost" effect (which to me was worth the tour price alone). Our tour group also got our own theater seating on the Carousel of Progress so that the guide could give us background information during the show. I've done quite a few of the tours and I'd say this one is the best bang for your buck.

I did the KTTK tour and, it was so worth it! I want to try Marceline in the future though!

DH and I did Marceline and loved it. I couldn't believe how reasonably it was priced. We went backstage at the ballroom scene in HM, rode 3 or 4 rides with our tour guide's narration, and got lots of history as we walked around. Recommend, for sure!
