Marathon weekend reservations!

We're all going to the Family Fun Run, ( can a wheelchair be pushed, does anyone know?) and DDiL will do the 1/2 Marathon. We'll be staying at Kidani, our hope for a 2 bedroom in BLT didn't work out! Family will be there from the 4th to the 9th of January, however, I'm staying in Florida for the month.

Any other Marathon weekend participants? My DSis will be joining the family, so there are 8 of us (3 DGC), and we really wanted a until with 3 bathrooms!

We are staying in a 2 bedroom LV at BLT. Sorry to take your room. I was thinking about switching to OKW, but my oldest sister said she has never stayed at a monorail resort before.

DH & I are running the full marathon. Right now, we have a studio booked at OKW, but once the 7 month window opens up we're going to see if we can get a room at BCV or BWV (or at least get on the waitlist).

Dh and I will hopefully be there from the 7th to the 11th. I'm planning on running my first full. (Ran the Chicago 13.1 today in 90 degree weather)
Tuesday is my 7m window, and hoping to get BWV or AKV Kidani. We'll see what's available.

Aww, you didn't take "my room!" Thanks for the regards! The savannah view is the same price as standard in BLT for the 4 nights, so it's definitely not a "bad" deal either!

Headed there too. Have 1BR at Wildnerness Lodge. It is my first marathon at Disney owning DVC. Where do people normally like to stay?

We stayed at OKW last year, we'll be there again this year.

We were told that the buses would pick up at the normal stops on race morning, but that wasn't true. Race morning transportation is available only at the HH. Just an FYI.

Did you ever consider just walking over. We have done it for about 7 years without any problem. It is about a 10 minute walk to the start - depending on where you are in OKW - maybe 15 minutes if you are in the back

Do you walk to the corrals and bypass the staging area in the EPCOT parking lot?

I was wondering if security ever hassles you doing this since you're coming in from the wrong direction.

I had thought about it. Being that this was my first Disney event, I just wanted to make sure I was in the corral on time. I also had my wife and nephew with me who were spectators. Maybe I'll walk next year.

We'll be there - 9 out of 10 of us are doing the 5k. We are staying at BWV in a Grand Villa. Hopefully the weather will be nice. So excited!!
