So put this one in the things happen for a reason category...
After last week's charity snafu causing me to decide to just do Dopey next year instead of Goofy, my DD informed me this weekend that she wants to try and do the 5-K again. On plus side (and it's a huge plus), I'm really happy she wants to give this a try again as she's got mobility issues but is trying to challenge herself. I honestly thought we wouldn't get the chance to do this together again unless she gave Roll Disney a shot sometime down the line. We talked about knowing it won't be a given for her and we need to be ok with it if her body decides it's a no go that morning, but just the desire to push and try makes me so proud (was a little dusty in here after the conversation...). She really wants to try the 10-K but decided to shoot for the 5-K with no minimum pace for 2026 and see how it goes and hopefully build from there for the future.
Only downside is it means I'm back into thehunger registration games next week to help try and get her a spot.
