It was more of generic process choice for anyone who was unable to get to the expo on 1/7. I've copy/pasted below.
For any Guests who are unable to visit the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on Saturday, Jan. 8 to choose their option should contact rundisney@disneysports.com. Please include your name, bib number and phone number within the email.
I know they later tweeted that dopey and goofy runners could have option 1 or 3 which is gift card or deferral. I emailed to ask about the deferral. I haven't gotten a response yet. I'd love to use it for a Disneyland race.I got the impression that we only needed to contact them if we didn't want the gift card and wanted to transfer to another race. Seem to remember something saying challenge participants would get an e-gift card in a week or two.
Anybody got a TR from the weekend they're working on? We'd love to read them, and be inspired, as DW and I continue to talk about possibly doing Dopey or the marathon in 2018.

I heard that too but asked just in case.Let us know what you find out. I have heard that it can only be used as a half to half transfer and can't be directly upgraded to a challenge. That makes it kind of useless to me so I might just use the gift card to help pay for a DL package or expenses at Dopey 2018.
Yep, they said for the deferrals to not start emailing them until the 13th anyways. They have lots of stuff to process AND Light Side next weekend. I'm not expecting them to respond to emails for a bit yet.![]()
They are part of the wedding pavilion at GF.Okay so question I've been trying to figure out for a while, which is who exactly are these guys? View attachment 214238
I've always figured that they had something to do with the Grand Floridian (since their stops usually around there) and I remember during my last successful Princess I am pretty sure they had a Glass Slipper (and that pre dates the challenge). But I honestly don't know what they do.

You and your volunteer colleagues were spectacular all marathon long - it meant so much to all of us to know that every couple of miles there would be a bunch of you waiting with drinks (or bananas or gels or candy) and neverending cheer and encouragement. And yes I'm sure you guys were freezing...Congrats to everyone who ran this weekend!
My half was canceled, but I still volunteered at the mile 12.2 water stop for the marathon. It was amazing seeing all of the runners push through the pain. Speaking of pain, that volunteer shift was one of the most painful things I've ever done in my life. Even when the sun rose, it was still insanely cold. With water on our hands and only rubber gloves on, it hurt so much. Never again in that weather!
