so........ got my results from my surprisingly painful more complicated than expected exploratory surgery yesterday... small tumor found with a 3% chance of cancer... guess when they're scheduling the removal and tests.... right before the glass slipper challenge.... I swear if anything happens before Tinkerbell i'll cry...

So sorry to hear that they found a tumor, but sounds optimistic that there's a low risk of cancer. Hoping that the final surgery and tests go well for you.

Thank you!! just... horrible timing! but i'll be in Disney in 8 days and it'll be great.

Also I'm trying to think about making a sign for marathon day when I'm at the finish line. Ill put a small green mickey at the bottom and if you see me come say hi! Ill also try to share a picture of the poster if I can think of something witty to say.

I'm so sorry to hear this but so glad that there's a good chance that it is benign. Good luck!!

Pretty much the same as an ice bath beer. When the beer is gone, it's time to get out.

Oh for sure, that would be fun! I'm staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge too from Jan 1 through Jan 9! Maybe we'll run into each other there too!

Someone asked on the runDisney FB group, and I thought I would offer here as well:

I have purchased MemoryMaker since I am travelling solo (and want race photos too), but I believe that lets me add up to 4 other bibs to it for race weekend (or 3 plus mine, I am not clear). Regardless, if you want to kick in a little money ($15/bib?) to offset my cost I am happy to add your bib to my account if you are just looking for race photos. Not 100% sure how I would give you access to the photos, but we can sort something out. PM me if you are interested.

Christmas to New Year's Eve (and Day) is a special kind of Disney crowd Hell. I did it one year with my (now) wife and actually proposed to her on the trip. I've never seen it that bad any other time. The crowds should drop off relatively quickly after New Year's Day and won't be nearly so bad for Marathon Weekend, although it won't be empty by any stretch, either. That Christmas to New Year's Day is my one "absolutely not" time to go to Disney.

Already at Disney and headed to AK tomorrow. First time doing a trip and parks before the races but I am super excited. Got a nice 10k in this morning and as proof of concept for Dopey #4 it was a success. Not sure how much I'll be able to follow along before and during the races but I'm excited for the next couple of weeks.
