I'd say it depends on where you were when you got injured. Were you running halfs and in good fitness in general? Are you willing to manage your pacing and expectations during Dopey? If so, I think you should be able to do it.
I was in a bit of a similar situation last year. I suffered a pretty bad injury in September running a half and could not run again until after Thanksgiving after a lot of PT. Even then, I was limited to run/walk intervals to continue the rehab from there. I was looking forward to my first marathon at Disney as part of Goofy and was also signed up for the 10k (so not quite Dopey, 5k short). My longest training run leading into the weekend was 12 miles. By managing my intervals carefully, I was able to complete all 3 races and have a great time doing it!

So I've been off with an injury for several months and have done very little training this year. I'm back for a couple weeks now though and am hoping to still finish the dopey challenge because that was way too expensive to just skip. What are my odds, do you guys think? It isn't my first marathon, and I'm planning on taking it very slow.

This week's Sundays are for Disney question is one I do with my family from time to time. It's fun to see what everyone's answer is.
Four parks, four meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack), what do you choose? You have to use each park, so no doubling up on Epcot or something like that. No resorts!
Breakfast: Starring Rolls, HS
Lunch: Flame Tree BBQ, AK
Dinner: La Hacienda de San Angel, Epcot
Snack: Dole Whip, MK
P.S. I'm going to need some contributed questions to help get us through the last few weeks, PM me your suggestions!

I'm ordering a shirt to wear for the race. I wanted something clever that would get me encouragement along with way. I'll need it! I also need ideas (and if there's a place you recommend ordering from, I'd welcome suggestions)
Here's what I think I'll do, with my name and then checkboxes for each one so I can check them off with a sharpie upon completion....
My list for Jan 8
1. turn 50
2. run 1st marathon
3. eat cake (celebrate, party, ??)
