Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend and got those long runs in, I had mine today and passed a new high mileage mark with a 16 miler, it was hard and there was more than once that I wanted to just give up but I trudged on and made it to the end the one thought I kept having to keep me going was "what if this is marathon day you aren't going to quit then so why quit now" on a side not since it was such a long run I used my hydration backpack instead of my belt and I'm now rethinking wether to us the backpack on race day or stick with the belt I really liked having plenty of water at the ready and while I know Disney is pretty good with water stops its a nice feeling not even having to think about weather I have enough on hand. also a running friend asked on facebook asked what kind of weather we could expect and I sort of snickered and said well one year there was snow and another a heat advisory so who really knows LOL
Before we left our room I saw 1 tv station forecast showing nothing but "possible showers" at 2:00 am. I thought we would be fine. While in line for the bus the people in front of us were looking at the radar with a big green blob heading right for us. So basically at least 1 forecast was very wrong just a few hours out. I don't know why I listen but I'm sure I still will.

Trekked down to Seattle from Vancouver yesterday for the marathon this morning. I woke up at 3am and had awful upset stomach. It was still an issue 30 mins prior to race time so I decided it wasn't worth having an awful time and we made our way home after a slow morning.
