Well...... here we are at the beginning of another week of training!
I did my 6 miles this evening in 2 hours and about 5 minutes. The good thing to report is that I did those 6 miles straight- no rest! Next Sunday .... I add another mile to that! As I was walking the last part of that 6 miles I was thinking to myself that I could now do a 10K- so, there is one here in September that I may sign up for.
This week I was looking on my training website and fopund some really good answers to frerquently ask questions- so I thought I'd share one a day with you. Here's #1
1-
Q.- What happens if I miss a day of traing? Do I have to add that distance onto the next run?
A.- If you miss a day, it's over and forgotten, just carry on with your schedule as written. Do not add the missed distance to the next day. If you miss a week, repeat the last week you did. If you miss the midweek training, do not return and do the long run. Reduce the long run distance to by 1/4 to 1/3, then repeat the previous week.
WHY DIDN"T I READ THIS BEFORE I MADE UP ALL THSOE MISSED MILES?!?!?!?
Have a good training week this week everyone!!
WELCOME TO A NEW MARATHONER-WISKBAND (renee)
