My husband is participating in the full marathon. We are currently booked to stay at an off site hotel for the night before. Has anyone had experience using Uber to a Disney park, maybe more specifically that early for the run? If so, how much does it typically cost? We are staying near DTD, off of State Rd 535.
Wondering if it is better to just switch to a resort with a shuttle so my husband can take our vehicle to the race and my children and I can use the shuttle. This way the vehicle will be at Epcot when he finishes the race. I read when the lot fills parking is sent to MK. Thinking cost and time effective. Suggestions welcomed.

Thanks!!

Time-wise, it's more effective to stay at a Disney resort. runDisney charters buses to transport runners and guests to and from the Expo and the race. When we left AoA for our Princess run, 3 charter buses were there at 4:00a with more arriving as our bus left.

If your husband feels he needs to have the car parked at Epcot, can you and the kids use a taxi or Uber? A taxi would be at least $20; not sure about Uber rates.

Uber should be around $12-$15 and no need to tip. Depends on traffic and routes of course. My trip from MK to Marriott World was on $13 and that hotel is on the other side of Disney Springs.

All value resorts are booked up, it seems. :( I just called our hotel and they actually run a free shuttle to the TTC. So I can just track my husband and take a bus to his next location then a shuttle to Epcot to meet him at the finish line. I did not realize how stressful this would be!

I can say from experience that you should pick a spot(s) early on if you want to watch him run. The whole park area will be a madhouse with many road closures due to the run. If I'm not mistaken the monorail will be running as well. During the Princess Half (DW ran) we saw her right before going into MK and then hoped on the monorail to see her finish at EPCOT. Adding an offsite hotel will add more logistics but isn't impossible if you plan your spots and timing way in advance. Good luck!

Ooh my friends who drive for them would strongly disagree on that!

I am a driver for my area, and unless the rules are different depending on location, you are supposed to refuse tips. If they insist, then you can take.
