I will be staying at animal kindom lodge on the 22nd and just wondering if anyone had any reviews or updated pics of mara thanks,dis sjw...CAN"t WAIT!!!!

We loved the Falafal pita, and the chicken pita sandwiches !!! Hungry for one now mmmmmm! Can't wait to go back in April

I second the recommendation for the chicken pita sandwiches. The chicken flatbread was also pretty good.

At the end of the day, however, Mara is just another CS location. It is very convenient if one is staying at the AKL (we stayed there for 9 days in Feb and had lunch at the Mara 4 or 5 times), but it is nothing to get too excited about.

I've heard that the chicken flatbread and the african stew are really spicy. I can't eat spicy foods so I was wondering if those would be problems for me.

Definitely try the Zebra Domes for dessert. Once upon a time you could only get them at the Boma dinner buffet. A few years ago they began selling them at Mara. They are to. die. for. Trust me.

Zebra domes and the butternut squash soup. The soup taste just like liquid pumpkin pie.. I had both this past Tues night. The 1/2 of a chicken dinner was good too.
