Mar 28 2010 Wonder 4-Night Bahamas - The Tim Hawkins Cruise

Is our cruise sold out? A friend of mine called yesterday and wondered about her family joining us - I went online and nothing is coming up. Same thing today.

I did book our 2 rooms at the CS over the weekend. Now I just have to figure everything else out.

The travel agent we booked with sent a message yesterday that they still had cabins left. Another online travel agent I have used to book a cruise still shows inside, oceanview & balcony cabins left for this cruise. Not sure if I am allowed to post their URLs here, so if you want them, PM me.

Theres a possibility we may not be able to make it on this cruise :headache:. I have not been able to find a decent flight from NYC. Reason being I have specific criteria for the flights, i.e. nonstop & must depart before 9am. It doesn't matter which airport or airline. I checked flying in the day before and the flights are actually more expensive :scared1:.

Oh and the reason I'm being so inflexible about it being nonstop is because my mom is travelling with us and refuses to stop. I've also had some very bad experiences taking connecting flights in the past so I would prefer not to also.

So if I don't find a decent flight before the first week of Jan then I'll probably cancel. :sad1::sad::worried:

I'm sorry to hear that - I know what you mean about the non-stop flights though as my mom is coming on this trip to and we are trying to make things as easy as possible for her. If (sadly) you do cancel, can you let me know what kind of room you have booked? I have a friend with a family of 4 who has been trying to get a room but so far, no luck.

It's almost time to pay off our cruise...

I hope to get a Palo brunch reservation but not sure what shore excursion (if any) to book. My kids are not great swimmers & the youngest (8) DD is pertrified of fish in the water.

Happy New Year!

There hasn't been much activity on our board lately, but with the balance of our trip due in a week or so, I'm starting to think ahead again. I know someone asked the question earlier, but is anyone else interested in doing fish extenders? This will be our first cruise, so I'm a newbie, but I've read quite a bit about them and I think my kids would love it! Has anyone else done them with a 4-day cruise?

Happy New Year!!!!
I sam paying the cruise off tomorrow. I have been on a Disney Cruise 5 times and no matter what your age, Fish extenders are a lot of fun! So count me in to get active on the boards tomorrow, whenIU finally finish allthis CHristams stuff.
See you real soon!
Judy

Fish extenders - YES!
cruise paid off in full - YES!
booked at WDW ahead of cruise - YES!
booked Sat night at port - YES!

Only question is that now my mom, who is coming with us, decided to have knee replacement at the end of January and may be questionable...

Happy NEw Year Everybody! After the final payment date is due, I'll be glad to create a spreadsheet of sorts to see who online is really going, roo numbers, and kids. So, I'll check back betweern now and then, and post after that big day.......
For those of you who are new, remember not to over book excursions. You paid alot of money for the ship, it is an amazing place!!!:cool1:

We paid the balance of our trip off last night. Our kids were given the cruise for X-mas, so FINALLY I can talk about it! It will be our first cruise, so they're not sure what to expect, but they're outgoing girls who are used to going to daycare and can make friends anywhere, so I know they'll have a blast!

Tink Lover - your mom should be OK for a cruise by the end of March, especially if she's not planning on doing alot of walking around off of the ship. My MIL flew to Hawaii less than 6 weeks after having hers done. I'm a physical therapist in the Twin Cities, so if she needs some help while on the ship....

Think warm thoughts as the temperature gets down to -20 degrees tonight;) Brrrr!

slmarkert - you didn't happen to graduate from CSS did you? Many of our friends are PT as well. She's seeing an ortho at Summitt in St. Paul.

Your kids are similar in age to my 2 boys. We have been looking forward to this cruise for some time as we have had to reschedule it for many reasons.

Final payment made, flight reservations done, and pre & post cruise ressies made for WDW resort stay! This is my and my 13 yr old daughter's 1st cruise. My mom has cruised before but never on Disney. So the 3 of us are excited about our girls only trip! My 13 yr old DD would also like to meet some kids her age to hang out with...mom and mimi can't be all that entertaining for her. I saw some posts that list some girls her age (mjvans, jama and disneydawgs4) so maybe she can start meeting friends beforehand. As we sit here today its below zero with snow on the ground so this upcoming Florida trip is getting us through this cold spell. The the planning continues as does the countdown!! WOOHOO!

...to the May 23rd cruise.:guilty:
Sorry guys, hate to miss the Tim Hawkins cruise, he is a blast!
Woosh~sorry we won't be able to meet you guys and let our daughters hang out.
Hope all of you have a great trip! We will be thinking of you on the 28th!!:dance3:

Well, since I have NO idea who he is - Okay......it sounds like there is a group that signed up with a deal and get some sort of exclusivity to see some performances or something. I don't know anything about that. It's almost like we need a sub-forum for that group :confused3

We are changing all sorts of things, like 2 of the 4 of us have changed their minds, but so far, my daughter(15) and I are still going! I will be dropping the Atlantis booking and change tothe dolphin encounter, I think.... will be talking to my agent tomorrow! Any other 15 year old girls booked yet?????

TInklover, I never heard of him(Tim Hawkins) either.... I will be happy with the Disney shows.....

For all you newbies.... have you looked at all the threads with advice on what is most important to pack? I will not repeat unless you need specifics imho, but do check them, your cruise will be great if you really check out these boards.
