What is the secret to getting Leaf tickets? I have 3 boys and their only wish in life if to go to a Leafs game. I couldn't get tickets last year. This year the only option is to pay $800 and every family member sit seperately:scared1: I would not let my kids do that, plus it would be no fun also.

If you know the secret, please help me out:goodvibes

Would you consider driving to Buffalo, Detroit or Ottawa? In each of those cities, when the Leafs play there's generally more Leafs fans than home town fans since so many people are in the same situation you're in.

Sign up for the Leafs' Last Minute Club - they release extra tickets a day or two (at most) before the game. As long as you could go at short notice, you can get cheap-ish seats together for many of the games...

Yes, we were considering Columbus. I know, I know 8 hours for a hockey game, but the tickets are really cheap compared to Toronto. Unfortunately the Leafs aren't playing there the rest of the season.

I am considering other U.S. cities:)

I've bought tickets off kijiji from season ticket holders. If you wait for a particular game, they're more apt to negotiate a lower price when closer to the date and tickets are still for sale...

Kijiji or other ticket resellers is an option too. You may pay more than face value... or if you're willing to be patient and negotiate, you may score a bit of a deal.

Be careful if you buy tickets in row 19 of the upper deck, that is standing room. Found this out the hard way. I used to go to a couple of games a year, but now I don't even bother. Impossible to get reasonably priced tickets. I usually go to several OHL games a year. Reasonable tickets and food and free parking.

We usually take our kids to a Marlies game every year at Ricoh Colliseum . The last few years, they have been more exciting to watch than the Leafs! (Maybe not this year :)) - But, you can get really good seats (they never sell out, and they're cheap)!

If you decide to go through a ticket reseller, we had great luck with StarOne Tickets for a Maple Leafs game in January 2010:

Yes, we paid more than the face value of the tickets (as we knew we would), but their service was excellent and the ticket prices we paid for our three seats were better than we could find elsewhere for similar seats in the same section.

One thing I like to do is looking for tickets on the Ticketmaster website either 1 day before or the day of a game and I have had went to many Leafs games using that method. For example I have gone to Playoff games along with past home openers since those would be hard tickets to get. However whenever I did that I was only looking for 2 tickets and I never tried looking for more then that.
