I am going to Seaworld at the end of April with DH and 2 DD's (ages 4 and 2).

1. How many shows can kids of that age handle? I'd like to do minimally do Shamu show, Dolphin show, and Pets Rule. Is that too much or too little?

2. How long is each show?

3. If I have a 12:00 lunch for dining with Shamu, do we have to be there at 11:30 because I want to go to the Dolphin show at 11:00? Is it possible to do the dolphin show beforehand? WOuld it be better to dine with Shamu for dinner, schedule-wise.

4. Anyone seen the Ignite dolphin show (an evening show with lights and music)? Is it too loud or intense for little ones?

5. Both DD's are smaller than 42", the minimum height for the helicopter in Wild Arctic. Is this just a ride with pictures of polar bears and beluga whales, or are the animals actually there? If they are real, does my DD's sizes mean they won't be able to see them because they can't do the helicopter simulator?

6. Can children of any age and size feed the dolphins? Where does this take place?

7. Anything else young children should not miss at Sea World?

Thanks so much!

Defitnely the Clyde & Seymore show in addition to the ones you mentioned. :cool1: Each show lasts around 15-20 mins + wait time. The aquariums "might" be interesting. Unless you want to get SOAKED stay up high. :rolleyes2 Also check out Penquin Encounter :thumbsup2 .And ABOVE ALL,HAVE FUNNN. :Pinkbounc

they have that big play area where kids can run around, climb ropes, go down slides, walk on rope bridges, etc. when we went, our DSs were 5 & 3 at the time, and they loved that place!! our youngest didn't do all the rope climbing things, cuz he was a bit hesitant. but there were plenty for him to do. and our oldest went w/our friends kids who were a bit older than him, so he had a blast as well. have fun!! :flower:

1. I would think you could get in all of the shows.

2. Shamu--17 minutes, Dolphins--22 minutes, Pets Rule--25, Clyde & Seamore--22

3. You should have time to make it over there from the 11am dolphin show.

4. I'm guessing that's new for this year, so no.

5. Go for the non-motion version--no height requirement on that one and yes, the animals are actually there, just after you get off the ride.

6. Yep, though it may be a challenge for the little one (reach-wise). You do this at Rocky Point Preserve (it's right near the tower ride). Trays of fish are currently $5.

Part of the fun of Sea World is getting wet, so if it's warm enough, wear your bathing suits w/shorts, tees and beach sandals/flipflops and bring a change of clothes and shoes. And don't forget a towel and sunscreen. We usually walk around there soaked all day.

the polar bears are usually pretty active, everytime I have gone I have amazing pics of them. there are the beluga whales as well. When you stand in line for the "movie" you can either sit through the entire thing or walk straight through instead of sitting through the nonmotion version.

where the journey to atlantis ride is is a tank with some dolphins that are black and white, at various times throughout the day someone will get in the tank wiith them to feed them.

Pets rule is a fun and cute show! don'tt sit in the first few isles, you will get wet.

the dolphin thing must be new, didn't have it last year. Shamu show is all new this year so expect to get there early to sit.

never did the lunch, did the breakfast wiht shamu and it was so much fun! beware if you are sitting by the tank, you can and probably will get wet.

clyde and seamore is cute.

i feel like i'm missing a show. . .

take the kids to the tidal pool area where they can hold a starfish, which I recommend you pick it up for them, that water is COLD> . . i'm known to help other kids and hand them one so they can realize it it nothing to be scared of.
