Could Anyone Give Me Some Reviews On How Manta Is. I Live 30 Minutes From Sea-World And I Am Going Soon. I Havent Been There For Awhile, Well Since Manta Opened.

Just Some Info About It Would Be Great :-)

1. If you wear glasses, I would wear one of those cords that keeps your glasses on.
2. Make sure anything loose in your pockets is removed before riding. At the bottom of the pretzel loop I have seen smashed ipods, PDAs, cell phones, even a pair of sunglasses. One time loose change rained down on me as a Manta train went into the pretzel loop. I left SeaWorld 37 cents richer. <g>
3. If you're sensitive to excessive G force, I wouldn't ride. Personally, I don't know why G force is seemingly so important these days--almost passing out isn't my idea of enjoying a coaster.
4. At the bottom of the pretzel loop you're on your back (where you feel most of the G force). Do actual manta rays "fly" on their backs? Dunno. It's a feeling I have yet to get used to.
5. Take the time to enjoy the ride line. It's themed nicely, and you can see various rays and other sea life along the way.
6. If you're in the park with someone who isn't riding, ask that person to go below the lift hill. He or she can take a very up close picture of you strapped into the car as you ascend.

Here is my full review: http://bit.ly/LFbFm

This is my second favorite coaster in Orlando (for me, SheiKra at Busch Gardens is the best...DH loves Manta best and has ridden it like 50-some times since its opening).

after 59 rides so far (the goal is 100 by Labor Day), once you make it thru the pretzel (first loop) the rest is a breeze. There are more G forces the farther back in the train (last row having the greatest) and to quote the comercial "There is nothing else like it"

Do note the ride breaks down a lot.

Yeah, yeah, you just had to brag that it was 59, didn't you!

59? That's amazing, considering you live so far away.

Don't let his tagline fool you. I happen to know he's really a local since he actually lives in my house. ;)

The riding position makes it unique--similar to the "Skycoasters", and gives as close an approximation to flying as I ever expect to have. Definitely an intense ride--this ain't no Disney coaster--but incredibly fun, and long enough to be satisfying. The line through the aqaurium could stand on its own as an attraction, as well, really nicely done.

I just went for the first time last week and the ride was great.:thumbsup2 We were the first ones on it right in the morning front row first train. Later in the day we did back row and the G's in the loop were insane.:thumbsup2

Not to be a party pooper but i wasnt that impressed. Once you get past the dive loop nothing special. Is it a nice coaster ?YES . Does it live up to the hype? NO way. A new coaster at a park is always a good thing but imoa there a better coasters down here. One is in the same park .Go Kracken:love:

My husband still loves Kraken too (and Kumba at Busch, which is very much like it), but Kraken is dead to me since Manta opened. Of course, I'm just the right height to get the snot banging out of my head on both Kraken and Kumba so that probably explains my unreasonable hatred. Manta's nice and smooth for me.

Your right its not the best but its still good. Yes, I thought Kraken was a lot better than Manta.:thumbsup2

I liked Manta a lot but Kraken is just a longer ride. They are both smoothe, very nice coasters. But yeah, Kraken has my vote. Different experiences...
