Just about everyone mangles the names of the Disney rides & shows.

While at the parks or resorts, what's the funniest name you've overheard anyone call an existing attraction?

This isn't an attraction, but when the BoardWalk had a Crepe On a Stick cart, a little boy asked his father what "crap" on a stick was...

While we were there in January, my mom kept getting confused and referring to Magic Kingdom as Disney World. So every day we would tease her and ask her which park we were in or going to that day. Finally, she got it down "Magic Kingdom", or "Animal Kingdom". We thought she had it until we were driving away to the airport and she said "Good-bye Disney Kingdom"!
We still tease her about it!

Mostly we hear Test Track mangled into Fast Track or Test Drive-hehe.

As I've posted before.....my son's favorite ride:

Pirates of the Can O'Beer!

I was so embarrased when DH pointed out to me (the self-proclaimed "Disney Expert") that it is not Rock-n-Roll roller coaster but Rock-n Roller coaster. Egg on my face. He also laughed hysterically when I refered to Ursala the Sea Witch's eels as "Want some and Get some" It is really Flotsom and Jetsom.

My dad used to do the same thing about calling MK-- Disney World. The funniest thing was when he would be looking for a pin and would come across one of Figment and he always called it "Filiment" . (He worked in a light bulb factory.) We have called that character Filiment ever since. We will be wearing a "Filiment" shirt in his memory this December. ( He was killed by a drunk driver this past March '04.) But our fondest memories are of him at WDW. We are very lucky to have those--it was one of his favorite places!!

I am so sorry about your father. Talk about a senseless and tragic death. God bless you and your family.

One of my relatives called Epcot, Epcock. I have yet to figure out out she got the 'ck' sound out of a 't'

When I was younger and my family was thinking of planning a trip to WDW my parents would refer to EPCOT as "EP-A-COT".

Actually we never ended up taking that trip and went to DL instead that year, but we still all jokingly refer to it that way.

When we were planning our trip, my BIL told me about some dinner show called "Whoop De Do". I have no idea, I'm looking for it and then I realized he meant "Hoop De Do Revue". (and I think I'm spelling that wrong, but you get the idea.)

SeaShelly--we read about Pirates Of the Can O' Beer just before our trip in May, and we totally adopted it into our language. Made us laugh everytime we said it! Still makes me laugh!

Our favorite was back in '97, when our son was three. He called the Country Bear Jamboree the 'jambears' the whole time we were there.:)
I still call it that to tease him.:)

On my last trip I heard a parent tell their kids they were headed to "Mickey's Judgement Tent." Just classic.

Well I never get the name right for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. I always call it the runaway train. Just can't seem to remember the right name.

Our older DS called the Haunted Mansion "The Honka Mansha" and Typhoon Lagoon "Mitchie Goon".

The Deep Sea Diver in the Living Seas was the "Dipsy Diver" and any roller coaster was a "Rolly Toaster"

You are right about Test track being called the "fast track". My 75 yr old mom went on it for the first time last month and insisted in telling everyone how she really liked riding the "fast track". Another one that I thought was funny of her's, she insists on calling Cirque du Soliel, (which we saw this last trip and it was great!) CirkA (hard A sound) day sollay. Sounds like Sir Kay day sollay. At least the sollay is correct!<G>.

wonder how many times CRO gets asked to book Colorado Springs or Sarasota Springs or the Fort Wilderness Lodge .
